In 2010, SoundGraph launched a new product “FingerVU”, an auxiliary monitor having completely unique features.

Most of secondary monitors in the market are either just a simple auxiliary monitor without touch-work or a touch-screen monitor which can lose a work priority of main monitor during the operation. However, FingerUV introduces a touch-input technology which enables independent work, like another PC, from the main monitor. Users can enjoy media files such as music, video and photographs, access network streaming like YouTube, and get information about news, weather and time using the FingerUV.

SoundGraph has been developing and supplying the iMON series for remote-control of PC and displaying devices in the Media Center PC or HTPC market. Our company has launched new USB monitor series in 2010, FingerVU 436 and 706, using the independent control technology. Users can have new experiences with FingerVU even under a general PC environment.

Based on the previous experiences on iMON series and displaying devices, SoundGraph designed new FingerVU series which can be connected to PC with USB cable. FingerVU 706 has 17.78 cm (7.0 inches) and FingerVU 436 has 10.92 cm (4.3 inches) touch-LCD monitor.

Different from the previous USB auxiliary monitors, FingerVU can use the input from the touch-screen and this touch-input works independently. For instance, when a user touches FingerVU screen while working with Excel in the main monitor, the activated Excel work does not lose its focus or the mouse cursor does not move to the FingerUV screen. Therefore, a user can control the FingerUV monitor without affecting his work in the main monitor. 

FingerVU monitor with the independent touch-control, patent pending, is an authorized technology of SoundGraph. FingerUI is the touch-interface software to operate FingerVU, for playing various media and widget information. 

Released version of FingerUI includes Media Modules : Music, Movie, Photo, Photo Slide, YouTube, YouTube+ (YouTube Research) and Widget Information Modules : Google news, Google News+ (Google News Search), RSS, RSS+ (RSS addition), Memo, World Weather, World time, System Information, Media Views and more.

Additional modules such as Image Search, Web Launch, Internet Radio, TV Broadcasting, Stock, Currency Exchange, Dictionary, Translator, Calculator and Alarm are scheduled to be updated. Moreover, third-party developers will be able to create a module easily using API which will be announced later. FingerUI supports Windows 7, VISTA and XP, and is compatible with any desktop or notebook drives.

DK Jung, the CEO of SoundGraph, explains that the FingerUV is a versatile product placing near PC, created with accumulated technologies in media playback and PC control in this company. He also says, FingerVU products can be applicable to various B2B applications based on the independent touch-control technology and the product sales including the new product FingerVU could be estimated to achieve 8.5 million dollars in 2010.
