Remote Control Signal Management

iMON Manager translate the remote control signal through IR receiver to keyboard shortcut command or system command.

iMON Manager generate the keyboard shortcut command according to the foreground application during this translation process.

For example, if the Windows Media Player runs as foreground application, iMON Manager will generate Ctrl + P keyboard shortcut command but if PowerPoint runs as foreground application, it may generate F5 keyboard shortcut command even though you press the same Play button on the remote control.

Like this feature, iMON remote control can control every applications running at Windows.

All the translation settings of remote control signal are managed through iMON Manager Setting menu.

Remote Control Selection

iMON Manager can select various remote control for control PC. Current running iMON products can assign and use one of iMON Pad remote control, iMON Mini remote control and Microsoft MCE remote control.

iMON Manager can select the usage of Pad button on iMON Pad remote control as 4 way arrows buttons or mouse control. This setting can be changed using the keyboard/mouse selection button on the iMON Pad remote control.

Remote Control Signal Indicator

When iMON Manager running, remote control signal indicator will be diaplyed on the wallpaper as like the right picture. This indicator will be displayed with different color when iMON hardware is connected, is not conneted, mute and control the volume.

Using the menu of iMON Manager, we can assign the position of remote control signal indicator or hide it or show up only when remote control signal was received. We can control the transparent ratio or the size of it as well.

Option

iMON Manager is used at various hardwares. You can see the version of firmware and software that you are using if you use Version/Update menu. 

You can set the auto update setting as like auto update, update notice only or do not check the auto update.

You can input the RSS feed for the news through the display of iMON hardware.

Application Launcher 

Application Launcher is used to launch the application by remote control. Register the application which you want to control by remote control and you can launch it by the selection of application among the displaying applications using Application Launcher button. iMON Manager automatically search and register the applications in your PC during its installation.

You can select the application which can be launched by Quick Launch button. The default one is iMEDIAN HD.

Task Switcher

Task Switcher is used to select the application by remote control among the running applications. If you press the Task Switcher button on the remote control, the list of current running application will be shown as like the right picture and you can select application that you want to control by remote control.

Front View

The iMON hardware which has the display will show various information by its display. 

Media Playback information, Graphical EQ, System information, Email information, News and World City time and weather information will be displayed accoriding to the setting value. You can change the setting value at the FrontView setting window. 

Virtual Keyboard

You can input the characters by remote control using virtual keyboard. Running Virtual Keyboard as like right picture and then input the characters using 4 way arrow and enter button. After finishing the input, close the Virtual Keyboard using App. Exit button on the remote control.

Timer

You can turn on and off the system and alarm at assigned time using Timer feature. Turn on the system is only available for the iMON internal models which has 24/3 pin standby power extension cable.

You can set PC turn on, off and alarm time by timer button on the remote control also you can set it at iMON Manger>iMON Utilites>Timer menu.

Monitor Resolution Changer

If you use Monitor Resolution Changer, you can set the monitor resolution by remote control.

You can assign the monitor resolutions which will be shown at the Monitor Resolution changer at iMON Manager>iMON Utilities>Resolution Changer menu.
