Volume Problem

I have just built a new PVR in an Antec Veris case with a Frontview display.
Running Windows 7 Home Premium
On an Asus M5A78L-M USB3 motherboard.
I installed the iMON manager and the volume buttons on the R200 remote worked until the system was re-booted.
I have installed every version of iMON manager and with a clean install between every installation (all data files and registry entries removed) and none of them will allow the volume or mute buttons to work, nor does the volume knob on the front of the case.
In desperation I installed the latest Touch Frame / HD Frame 1.27.1118, iMON Manager 8.10.1118, Remote+ Server 1.11.1118 package.
After installation the volume worked until a reboot then nothing, then the updates were done automatically and the volume still does not work.
I uninstalled the lot again and did a clean install of iMON manager 8.10.1118 but that did not work either, then I have updated it back to 8.12.1202, and it's still not working.
It looks from the forum that this is a big problem since Windows 7, I wish I had read it before I purchased the Antec box.
How do I fix this problem the other features work just fine but no system volume adjustment is impossible.

Dear Bobbybear,

It seems that the actual audio output device is not selected in iMON Manager.
Please open iMON Manager and select audio output device for “Soundcard Device” option in iMON Manager>Option>System.
