graphic EQ when using ATi audio over HDMI

just bought the antec veris premier and i got to say its a really nice product, i need some help getting the graphic EQ working with my current setup, im using an ATi radeon hd 5870 in my htpc and i have it connected to my hdtv through HDMI cable, the graphic EQ dosent recognize the audio coming from the card, i have it set to listen to the ATi HDMi digital output, but its still not working, ive tried to set it to display with all system sounds and still no dice, can anyone help me set this up ? thanks in advance

Dear lilkuz2005,

In order to display EQ, iMON Manager should record system sound to get PCM data (Analog) for EQ. Some device and media files don’t support displaying EQ because it processes optical audio data directly and there is no anlog data to displaying EQ.
Please check as follows.
1. Open Control Panel and run Hardware and Sound > Sound.
2. Select Recording tab.
3. When playing media file, check HDMI device shows recording volume.
If possible, check with the various files and compare it with Digital Output.
