Default Imon Mini receiver reacts to Philips TV remote

Hello all,

My Philips tv-set remote incredibly activates the imon Mini receiver. Button "sound down" on philips remote is interpreted by imon reiver as "cursor arrow up" -or the like.

Strange, as Philips is not one unknown tv manufacturer that could be forgotten in the testing process...

Has anyone noticed this "interference"?

Thank you all.

Dear Manton,

I’m sorry for your inconvenience. Please let me know the followings.
1. Which remote is selected in iMON Manager>Settings>Remote Controller?
2. Does it always react with Philips remote regardless the receiving angle?
3. Is there any other buttons works “sound down button”?

Regards,
Johnny Hur

Hello Mr Hur!

I have RM200 on the iMON Manager>Settings>Remote Controller (it's really the one I have).
It seems to react to the Philips remote regardless of the angle (as far as I've tried).

Many buttons in the Philips remote make the red light of the mini receiver blink, but so far I have only detected the "sound down" button to produce a visible result on the computer (now I see that it is the exact effect is that of holding down the left button of the mouse and dragging the mouse arrow up and slightly to the right).

Thank you for your assistance.
Rgds,
Manuel Antón.

Dear Manton,

I really appreciate your sincere report.
Actually iMON Pad remote uses the unique protocol for the enhanced mouse movement. We think it’s much rare case. It seems that iMON can’t filter “sound down button” signal.
Regret to say, there is no way to solve this problem with the current HW. Because it needs FW modification and this product doesn’t support FW update.
If you let me know which TV model you have, we’ll apply it to new product.

Regards,
Johnny Hur

Dear Mr Hur,

I have to apologise.

The remote which activates the mouse movement is, in the end, not the Philips TV remote. It is the universal remote that I use to substitute the original Philips Remote. I am so used to the universal remote that I forgot to test with the original.
I've done the testing with the original remote and it doesn't produce any problem with imon.

I'm sorry having raised a false alert. Thank you again for your support.
