Windows Sux

I was given a finger vu706 for testing purposes for a friend, but he didnt have the installation cd. I downloaded the software from the FingerUI thread here in the forums. However, i can touch the screen, get the little touchframe CD that spins, and open up the quick app launcher, settings, task manager, etc..but thats about it. I have no running applications, i cant do anything, and it only zooms in on the center of my desktop background
What am i doing wrong? Am i missing some software? This thing just does not want to work right. I see a background, and then one little menu and thats all. PLEASE HELP
And when can we expect compatibility with linux? I hate having to use windows just to use this

Hello Windows Sux,
I have no running applications, i cant do anything, and it only zooms in on the center of my desktop background
In fact you have an application running in the backround, it's called Touch Frame... and you can do a lot of things with it like start the applications, you mentioned above as run the touchpad app to control your mouse pointer, a virtual keyboard and aome kind of a virtual remote etc, etc.
So like I understand you have already installed the Touch Frame for FingerVU 706. You can also install the HD Frame to have a soundgraph solution for some quite of Media Center software. This you can run on your FingerVU 706 as an your TV. You can switch this application between the screens TV / Monitor or FingerVU. And run within many multimedia functions implemented like listen to music / internet radio, watching movies or pictures as you can browse and watch the youtube content...
It's of course another question that you get satisfied with it or not... For me personally it was not the optimal solution especially with also a minimum of so called WAF (Wife accaptance factor). I use my FingerVU 706 only with third party software... There many plugins or Sofware available for great Media Center Software like XBMC, MediaPortal, DVBViewer or just the Microsoft Media Center. Ask google for Yatse 2 + XBMC + FingerVu. I hope you get some inspiration then...
And when can we expect compatibility with linux? I hate having to use windows just to use this
I don't think that you will ever get the Linux Support from Soundgraph itself, furthermore I guesst you have to wait untill the API's for SG products are done and the Linux community implement the products into their linux distributions.
best regards
