Hi!
I am running the latest iMon software on a Windows 7 Ultimate setup and I wonder how I can reassign the "My Music" button. Right now, it is assigned to launch iMedian HD but I cannot find where I can reconfigure that.
Also, I am having problems with the Skip,Play,Stop etc. keys on the remote. From what I have read here, those keys are mapped to the equivalent HID keys. However, nothing happens when I press them. Futhermore, the front panel displa shows "Not defined" when I press them, so I am curious if the iMon software is accidentally capturing these HID events and do not let them pass through to the system. I do have a multimedia keyboard connected to my system and on that keyboard the HID keys are working as expected, but I would like to do the same without having to assign keys to every application that normally works with HID.
The hardware that I have is a Silverstone HTPC case and the firmware of the iMon hardware is 0x380208
When I exit the iMon program, the front panel goes black and no events from the remote are entered into the system. I am suspecting that the remote is not really acting like a HID device under Windows 7.

If there any tests, experiments, beta drivers etc., I'd be happy to try them out to help you track this down.

Any thoughts?
regards,
Stefan Burström

I just noticed that the volume up and down keys on the remote don't work either. the iMon icon is showing that I press the volume keys and the knob is turning, but the system volume does not change. The keys are mapped to System volume up/down in the iMon settings, but the system volume is not affected. If I change the keys to be unmapped, there is no reaction at all if I press them. (Other than the "Not defined" message on the front panel)

regards,
Stefan

Dear Stefan,

I am running the latest iMon software on a Windows 7 Ultimate setup and I wonder how I can reassign the "My Music" button. Right now, it is assigned to launch iMedian HD but I cannot find where I can reconfigure that.
When Quick Launch Application is set to iMEDIAN HD or Media Center, Music, Videos, Pictures, TV and DVD buttons on the remote launch iMEDIAN HD or Media Center with specified menu. Currently tere is no option to assign to this feature.
If you want to launch other application, try as follows.
1. Make desktop icon for the application.
2. Open Property window of desktop icon and make shortcut in shortcut tab.
3. Add Custom Command with this shortcut and the remote button.

Normally these buttons are assigned to Program Command. If foreground program and button is not assigned to Program Command and other commands, iMON displays "Not defined".

I do have a multimedia keyboard connected to my system and on that keyboard the HID keys are working as expected, but I would like to do the same without having to assign keys to every application that normally works with HID.
Add all multimedia keys to Custom Command with the remote buttons, it will work as you want

When I exit the iMon program, the front panel goes black and no events from the remote are entered into the system. I am suspecting that the remote is not really acting like a HID device under Windows 7.
Please check the following FAQ.

Some buttons processed via HID keyboard driver can work without iMON Manager.

Please check soundcard device in iMON Manager>Option>System.
