Hi All,

I'm new to this forum, so please accept my apologies if this has been discussed before; I couldn't find an answer using the forum search.

I have the 15c2:0038 iMON LCD product built into the Antec Fusion Remote Black. I was wondering if the low-level protocol of this device is available anywhere, and I'm talking about the official and complete information. The best I can find so far are the various open source drivers, eg. the VDR plugin or the (excellent) mythimon.pl (http://mythtvblog.blogspot.com/).

Thanks for any pointers!

Dear dargllun,

We are sorry but it is not available to open the low level protocol officially yet, though there's some 3rd party developers hack and share it.

Anyway, as shown in the To Do List, we have a plan to open API for display in future.

Thanks a lot,
slash.kim

Any details when we can expect this?

What I need to know is this: when I put my (Linux based) system into ACPI suspend-to-ram mode, I can turn off the LCD backlight successfully. However, when I shut down the system completely (power-off), some magic from ACPI and/or the power-supply unit turns the backlight on again. I don't want this behavior and was hoping to find a more "effective" backlight-off command in the protocol specs.

I understand this works on Windows, so while we're still waiting for Soundgraph to release the protocol, maybe you share that little detail? So far there seems to reverse-engineered solution to this...

Thanks - dargllun

Hi slash.kim,

any news? So far I have not found any solution to turn off the LCD backlight when the machine is powered down, which is unacceptable. If not fully disclosing the protocol, please at least provide a way to the OSS community to fix this annoying issue.

Thanks,
dargllun

Any news on the API yet? This is still an issue with the Antec Fusion Remote Black with Ubuntu 11.04.

I would like to determine if this is a hardware issue or a software one. But I don't have Windows available to test with. If I can determine it is a hardware issue, then I could return the device under warranty.

Can anyone else confirm if this works as expected on Windows? If so we could start tracing the USB bus and share some traces to compare.
