Audio Problems

I am experiencing audio problems with the VFD and IMON.
With standard audio (music, standard video) there is no audio when IMON is running.
The display on the VFD functions.
When playing a DVD with DTS or watching TV with High Def audio, the PC locks up solid immediately.

Closing IMON before running the above mentioned and everything is fine.

My config:

Antec Multi-Station Elite VFD with version 7.77.1022

Windows 7 with all updates.
Intel DP43TF 775 P43 motherboard, dual core 3gh Proc. 4 gig dual channel memory.
HT Omega Striker 7.1 audio card.

You might use an external decoder/receiver with S/PDIF cable connection.
And when iMON is running,
- When playback the standard audio (does it mean that audio stream which are not encoded as DTS nor AC3?), no sound can be heard.
- When playback the DTS/AC3 encoded audio, system halt.

In order to display EQ on VFD, iMON is recording through Windows CoreAudio API which uses the audio driver feature. Normally, there's no problem with other soundcards. It seems to be a soundcard specific problem. Does the audio card driver support Windows7? If you are running old version of audio driver, please update it first.

I am using the DTS out on the Striker 7 to play audio trough an sterio amp.
Windows 7 drivers for the Striker 7 released today and all seems to be working now. Will keep you updated.

Would like to disable the IR reciever in the VFD so I can use the MS IR reciever that has a wider angle.

Thanks for the information about Strike7 issue.

The IR disable feature can be gotten if select the remote to "iMON Remote" in iMON Manager > Settings > Remote Control page. If the remote control setting can not be adjustable with disable color, please check the option in the iMON Manager > Option pages. If you could find "3rd party option" you could check it the box then iMON does not do anything with IR signal. However this option is shown only on some specific iMON hardware built in old ANTEC case.
