Although your promises, six months now and three updates you haven't restore yet the Internet radio function that you removed without prior notice.
Although it was requested several times, I see no Action yet but only promises that you never keep!!!!!!

Please inform us if it will be DEFINETELY RESTORED IN YOUR NEXT UPDATE or if we should look for another application to replace iMedian, in order to use this function.

Please be responsible to give a promise THAT YOU WILL BE ABLE TO KEEP!!!! I think we have been waiting long enough........

Thank you in advance!

I'm a little upset, too. Still you can define radiostations but there's no way to play them.

Dear Babalas & Tigaaa,

First, we are sorry that we could not keep our promise for web casting menu. As you might know, we were very busy to support Windows 7 compatibility issue in last two months. When new version of Windows released, we need to make delay some of our targets to support this new O/S. I hope that you can understand this point.

For the webcasting including internet radio, we have a plan to including YouTube feature as well as internet radio. We are testing YouTube playback now and we think that we can update webcasting with YouTube sub menu together. Internally, we also check the possibility of pause feature (as like time shift of PVR) to internet radio as well. It would be better if we have the rewind and pause feature to the new internet radio menu.

Sorry for the late delivery of our new feature but please be understood and it would be better for us to hear some new idea on this new feature from you.

Thanks and regards...

Dear dk.jung,

Your idea of including youtube in webcasting sounds good, but since your software is mainly used on PC's with only a remote control in Living rooms, I see major difficulties in typing addresses etc etc, so it would be more convenient from your side first to restore webcasting and with further study for easy use of the new feature to proceed to add it!!!

Furthermore, Pause in internet radio is most of the time useless!

So Please try to develop an update for webcasting in advance, which is a major disadvantage of your software, and later enhance it with further features! (in order to act according to your signature dear dk.junk)!!

Thank you for your prompt answer!!

Dear Babalas...

For the YouTube playback, it will be started with RSS feed of YouTube, so we will have sub menu as like Most Viewed, Most Popular etc. In this case, we don't need to put address to iMEDIAN HD. Later, we may have the feed for the search results and we can permit the input by remote control.

For the timeshift feature of internet radio will be availabe later with normal internet radio feature of course. This feature would be good if the internet radio streaming speed is not so good. Users can make a pause to have a longer buffer than normal streaming and he can listen to the seamless streaming.

We are respect the opinion from the end users but there are many view points from them...some people does not care about the Internet Radio but care about some display issues during playback etc. Some people does not use iMEDIAN HD only use MCE. Some people never use DVD but some people use BlueRay already. As you might know, we have limitted resources internally and it is not so easy to catch up Their target.

This year, MS announced the Windows 7 with too long time beta testing for their sales but this kind of marketing (beta testing) hurts the company as like us for the compatibility. Before, we are the member of MSDN and we can have the new version of release candidate of new Windows earlier than end users and we can have a time to catch up. But now, end users have the newer version from MS earlier than MSDN members. So we need to prepare the compatibility issue almost one year before its official release even MS did nothing to support the delelopment companies. This is quite tough situation for us. But we cover almost issues of new O/S compatibility and we are happy that we can make a new version support new O/W at the same date of their official release.

I think that we can speed up our iMON/iMEDIAN HD updates and please wait for a while...

Thanks a lot...

Dear dk.junk,
I understand and respect all your efforts and also the difficulties you have in order to reach your goal!

But I strongly believe that it would be more responsible to support all your previous customers that do not have and perhaps they will never use any new operating system and then support the new OS's.

Unless if you care only for one time sales, that I do not believe so!

Anyway, please try to deliver an update with Webcasting on schedule (till 23rd November) and we will never disturb you again.

I am using "we" cause I represent 43 users of your hardware here in north Greece who I personally suggested your Hardware & Software and they all complain about the webcasting issue. So I ask for your understanding as well and your prompt actions to restore webcasting feature!

Thank you in advance, waiting your prompt action......

Dear all...

Today, we had an internal meeting for the dev. schedule...and we decide to support internet radio on the next version. It would be good if you write down your favorite internet radio station URL to this thread.

1. Name of Internet Radio Station
2. Genre
3. URL
4. Etc

Thanks...

Dear dk.junk!

Thank you for forwarding and at last start developing most people's request, the Webcasting feature!

I hope that it will be restored at the immediate next update (till November 23rd 2009) and it will be so functional and easy to use, as it was prior your update in June 2009!

As for favorite radio stations, I think it's a matter of personal taste. eg. I listen to several stations according to my mood. I use "radio kosmos" for music, "BBC world" for international news, "radio FG France" for music, and "Real FM" for local Greek news and some other if there is any interesting education or music event!

I'm a bit worried about the information you're asking in your survey, and I hope that you won't develop a feature with "fixed" presets, non customizable and useless for most people, since radio is a matter of personal taste and of course a matter of nationality, language, etc etc

If you restore the feature as it was prior your update in June 2009 (it was working perfect and without a single issue that time), FULLY CUSTOMIZABLE, and so user-friendly to manipulate Genres and links IT WOULD BE JUST PERFECT!

Thank you for your quick response, and we are looking forward your prompt action!!!!

Dear Babalas,

Of course, we will restore the features of the former versions. You can add or delete the radio stations by iMON Manager. Radio station is a matter of personal taste but I also think about the sharing of radio station list between our users. I think that it would be good we would open a new thread about the radio station list thread after we release the new version including radio station.

I expect that your issue will be solved if we keep our promise and we will close this thread soon.

By the way, my last name is Jung not a Junk.

Thanks and regards...

Dear dk.jung,

Sorry for my mistake (I never intended to call you a junk, it is not my style or manners), on your last name it was due to fast reading-writing, I apologise for that!

As soon as the Web Casting feature will be restored, It would be very helpful to open a topic about favorite radio stations, so we can share ideas, taste and experience in this field. I will support it with all my knowledge, since me and my friends are spending many hours listening to web-radio!

Thank you for all your efforts in our problem and I hope that this thread will close the soonest possible (with Web Casting feature finally restored in iMedian)!!
