Hello,
I have writen a scheduler for MediaPortal and DVBViewer (http:www.GMPS-scheduler.de)
and I have 2 Feature requests:
1) if Window 7 gets into away mode, it would be better if iMON would act
like if the System would rundown (e.g. Display off, so that it really Looks like the system has
Run down)
2) is there a Way to stop the iMON Manager other then using taskkill ? ( I have to
Do this because I want the iMON Manager to reload the init Files. But using taskkill
keeps the Icon in the System tray)
Thanks!

Dear Georg,
1) if Window 7 gets into away mode, it would be better if iMON would act like if the System would rundown (e.g. Display off, so that it really Looks like the system has Run down)
What you saying is “Away Mode”, not “Sleep Mode”, is it right?
And do you want to make iMON display in “Away Mode” like Sleep Mode and Turn Off?
But in Away Mode iMON should stay with driver opened in order to wake up with the remote.
2) is there a Way to stop the iMON Manager other then using taskkill ? ( I have to Do this because I want the iMON Manager to reload the init Files. But using taskkill

Currently there is no way to kill iMON smoothly via message or call.
We’ll internally discuss about this.
But because most of users don’t need this feature, I think it may not be added to our “To Do List”.

I need something to kill and restart iMON. Theres no way I get consistent iMON running after sleeping. So I need to kill it and restart it. After I upgraded to latest version things become worse. You should take a look at iMON after restart because I am not the only one with this issue.

yes, I'm talking about Away Mode - not Sleep Mode
Well, there is no need to stop the driver in Away Mode - just show what you would show if the system is off (I mean the text I can enter, or - more important for me - showing the timer events for next alarm, shutdown or startup). My intention is, that the user doesn't recognize that the system continuous working (if the system is quiet enough - and usually HTPC are).

In the meantime we are 2 :) If you just would define a user defined message which you can fetch in WndProc - I guess that's no big deal.
For me there would be an other solution good as well - but it would be more work for you, but it will give your product advantages: Having a COM interface to set timers or other setups (and so on) externally (I know a bit about sg_imon.dll, but in my case the dll is already in use by MediaPortal - so my process can not use it. Having a COM interface would give more processes the possibility to have access to the iMON displays).
Thanks !

Dear Georg,
We added your requests to “To Do List” and it will be applied in the future update.
Please check it and wait for a while.
