RM200 - IPAD stopped working

Hi,
I have a Thermaltake DH101, using Imon LCD and Imon Pad (Rm200). Yesterday it stop working, and there was no other recent change on the PC. Its running Win7 32b and driver 7.90. I've tried a few things to fix it:

Changed batteries,
re-installed drivers
backed drivers to 7.20
re-installed 7.90
disconnected and reconnected inside the case
connected to an external usb socket
"reset" in Imon manager
disconnected power for 2 minutes and reconnected.

I have also run the iMonTest program and it did not recognise any of the keys.

The LCD seems to work fine.

Help please!

maybe tell me how to test the receiver... or ?

I did some more tests. Two of note for the remote control:
1. If you use a digital camera (video etc) and aim it at the IR end of the remote control, it will show the IR lighting up when you press a button.
2. If you find an AM radio and tune it to the bottom of the scale (the lowest frequency end) and hold the controller next to the antenna when you press a button you will hear the signal through the radio. This works because the both use a frequency crystal in about the right frequencies...

Ok so to me, I did these tests and the remote wasn't working, so I disassembled it and checked the IR emitter by putting 1.5V ( a battery) across it and looked at it through the camera again. First try it didn't work, second try it did...not sure why...so I reassembled it and now the remote is working again. Mystery problem, mystery fix. but at least it works again.
