I installed imedian hd vers:7.60.0521, it does not recognise my wintv-nova-t-500 digital tuner card installed on my computer, keeps asking to find external viewer.
I have windows media centre installed which recognises the card as did Nero when I tried that.
I would appreciate any help in solving this problem.
I have previously emailed soundgraph support and have received no reply to my problem

debuch,

iMedian HD does not yet support TV Tuners, of any kind, natively. You need to provide whatever tuning application you would like to use to view TV and iMedian will load it for you.
The To Do List (http://htpcinside.com/forums/showthread.php?t=45) (enhancements) has an item for creating an internal TV Tuner App.
[Release Target] Not Fixed

1. iMEDIAN HD
(1) [New Feature] Blueray playback will be supported.
(2) [New Feature] Internal ATSC TV will be supported.
(3) [New Feature] Internal DVB TV will be supported.

No release date specified, this is more effort than any codec or DB issue I think.

Thanks for the quick reply, I think I attempted to do this with cyberlink but imedian asked me to uninstall cyberlink to continue the process so I stopped because I was unsure as to what would happen e.g. would imedian now open and allow access to the tv play and record as the the earlier 6 0 version did or something else. I am a complete novice in this field and would appreciate a simple explanation as to what would happen if I continued the process or should I wait until they allow internal tuner cards to work.

Dear debuch,

As crlorentzen said, the current version of iMEDIAN HD support only the external TV viewer. And for the internal TV will be supported later.

Though the version 6 of iMEDIAN supported ATSC and DVB-T tuner card with internal TV viewer, there're something compatibility issues and we could not use this old TV module in iMEDIAN HD (version 7 of iMEDIAN).

Do you mean iMEDIAN HD shows any message like "uninstall Cyberlink's something" when assigning you Cyberlink TV viewer as external TV viewer? Could you please let us know which kind of message is shown exactly? If you could capture the screen and attach here, it would be better understand what kind of problem occurs.

Thanks and best regards,
