Hi,
I just bought an iMon Knob remote for my ASRock ION 330 NetTop to be used as a HTPC.
My problem is that the iMon knob doesn’t wake the computer from sleep (S3) even though my keyboard and mouse, both USB connected, does awake it.
There is no “Power Management property page” for “SG Remote Control Device” in the Device Manager where normally “Allow this device to bring the computer out of standby” is chosen.
I need the ability to wake my HTPC with the remote to make it easy for my wife and children to use.
Please help
Nicklas

Hi,
Today I tested to connect a Microsoft MCE remote together with the belonging eHome Infrared Receiver from one of my childrens computers instead of the iMon Knob.
And just as in the case with my keyboard and mouse the MCE remote has no problem to wake the computer from sleep.
I believe that I have tried everything I can think of including both recommended and not recommended registry modifications without any success in enabling the iMon Knob to awake my computer.
I really need help with this because I dont know what Im doing wrong.

Dear Nicklas,

Regret to say, iMON KNOB doesn’t have USB wakeup feature.

But other our products like iMON VFD, LCD, Touch LCD can turn on the computer and wake up from S3/S4.
It uses electronic switching for this feature and it works as power button on PC case.

Hi Johnny,
Thats extremely disappointing to hear.
But isnt this only a driver issue? The “knob” indicates that it receives an ir-signal when the computer is at sleep so should it not then be able to awake it?
I understand the problem to power the computer up when its shut down without any connections to the MB or PSU wiring but I havent heard of any PC-remote that werent able to awake the computer from sleep as long as the MB and bios supports it and are correctly setup.
Best regards,
Nicklas

Dear Nicklas,

I’m sorry for your inconvenience.
Currently there is no way to wake up with iMON KNOB.
But we’ll consider it on the development of new HW.
