I am thinking of installing a TV tuner into my HTPC. I noticed that most integrate with Windows Media Center, but I prefer to operate through a single programme - Imedian.

Can you give some advice on TV Tuners and compatibility with Imedian with the most popular TV Tuner cards? Ie Compro, Hauppauge and Leadtek?

Are there any limitations or anything else to watch out for?

Hello!
I`ve got same problem but with SAT tuner. Becouse Imedian doesn`t support sat :( i configured DigitalTV (native sat application from twinhan) and add it to iMEDIAN app launcher, then map some keys from remote to control DTV.

Dear DUKEM,

Frankly speaking, the TV feature of Media Center is more powerful than one of iMEDIAN HD. We know we need to improve the TV feature of iMEDIAN HD, however, it is not easy to get it because several different kinds of TV broadcast standard are used around the world. And in order to test the feature, we need to purchase very very expensive equipments or visit several countries to develop ones for the specific TV standards. This kind of reasons makes big company get powerful TV feature. Anyway, thanks to the Microsoft BDA standards, we think we can prepare more before completing the digital TV feature comparing to the analog TV feature. We'll focus more on the digital TV feature in near future.

Currently, iMEDIAN HD supports only the 'external TV viewer'. It means if the TV software bundled with TV card will be popped-up in front of iMEDIAN HD when you try to use TV menu in iMEDIAN HD. And if this bundled program supports keyboard shortcut, it can be used as iMEDIAN HD's external TV viewer.

Thanks a lot,

Hi,,
I agree with the DUKEM. I would way perfer to uses one application for my mediacenter instead of lots of diffrent application to do the one job. Which i intended for my system in the first place.
I'm thinking of purchasing the Tv card "DViCO FusionHDTV DVB-T" to go with my system Themaltake DH101, Soundgraph. I needed to find if the card would be compatiable with soundgraph,(iMedianHD) Going from the replay before its seem to be " DON'T Bother with our software it's just a gimic"....! USE Microsoft Mediacenter...!

AND TO BE QUITE REAL,,,THE TESTING SHOULD HAVE BEEN DONE IN THE FIRST PLACE BE FOR REALISING THE IMEDIAN to the public,,,,,eh!
