iPAD doesen't work - iMON vers 3.71-build 1202/Multimedian 1.71 - F/V version 0x26

My sondgraph software comes whith a Sylverstone enclosure Lascala LC11-M whith a VFD/IR and was bought in 2007.

My remote controller stopped working, so I decided to upgrade from iMON vers 3.71-build 1202/Multimedian 1.71 to latest stable version: 7.90.0702. The diagnostic tool recognizes a F/V version 0x26, but the iPAD still doesen't work.

Then I removed the whole software, I removed the folder SOUNDGRAPH in "program files" and removed registry keys but iMON_PAD.sys entry. I removed battery supplies too from the PAD.

Once I intalled again the older versione of the software, the PAD still didnt't work anymore.

Now I need help.

I tried to install a virtual Win-XP (VirtualBox) and I installed my old versione of iMON and Multimedian (see previous post). I report that the software doesen't recognize the hardware, but it asked me which RC i wanna use!! :confused:

Should I reinstall Win XP??

Dear Conte,

First of all, please change battery with new one and wait 2~3 minute before inserting new battery. Sometimes it makes the remote work again.
And try to reset remote mapping with clicking “Reset” button in iMON Manager>Settings>Remote Controller.
And if the problem continues, check IR signal with the following test program as follows.

1. Close iMON and run “iMONTest.exe”.
2. Press Play or other button.
3. In normal IR data for pressed button will be displayed in “iMONTest.exe”.
(Let me know what data is displayed)

Here what happens whith iMONTest.exe.
Dropdown list of remote controller is empty. :-?
And FW version is not recognized.

At the moment I'm using old versione of iMON: vers 3.71-build 1202/Multimedian 1.71 (F/V version 0x26). This version has not reset remote mapping.
Battery change didn't restore functionality of the RC.

Dear Conte,

I’m sorry I still can’t understand your problem fully. Your reports are little strange.
Please install the latest version and let me know the followings.
1. Check FW version in iMON Manager>Options>Version/Update.
(You said FW version is 0x26 but test program failed to check FW version)
2. If FW version is not 0xffffffff in iMON Manager, reset remote mapping again with clicking “Reset” button in iMON Manager>Settings>Remote Controller.
3. Try AC reset (Removing power cable from the wall and re-connect it) and connect iMON HW to other USB ports including the externals.

1) The F/W version in iMON is 0x26 cheked thanks to the latest versione of iMON (7.90.0702). Whith the original version that I installed (iMON vers 3.71) when I bought my Sylverstone LC11-M I was not able to recongnize the version because the software was not able to do it (no button or specific funziont founded around).

2) The string cheked whith the latest versione of iMON is not the one you suggested me (0xffffffff) than I tryed to reset remote mapping; unfortunately the dropdown menu was gray and the software reported a message error: "parameter is not correct".

3) Last attempt: I unplugged the AC connector and the USB connector and I reported that the dropdown menu of the Remote controller was not gray anymore and listed the iMON_PAD (I added a "prova_01" item as a test too). Then when I plugged again the USB connector the dropdown menu returned gay.

Dear Conte,

FW version 0x26 supports only iMON Pad remote. If iMON detects this FW, you can’t select or add other remote in iMON Manager.

It seems that there is a problem on resetting the remote mapping. Please try to delete “C:\Documents and Settings\UserName\Application Data\SOUNDGRAPH\iMON\Setup” folder and try to reset again. If the problem continues, please change language to English in iMON Manager>Option and check again.

I removed the "...SOUNDGRAPH\iMON\Setup" folder but nothing changed. I changed the language too for English and nothing changed again.
When I push "Reset" button in "Settings>RemoteController" tab of the option tools I report a popup wndow whith a progress bar (see attached image), but the RC doesen't works anymore and the dropdown menu for the RC is still gray.

I tried to use iMON test tool and the FW is correctly recongnized as the 0x26 version and the dropdown menu for the RemoteControlle shows the iPAD controller (see attached image), but when I push a random button on the RC (my be "play" or "volum setting") the iMONtest doesen't recognize any code: the main box remains empty. The RC led works properly and flashes a red light when I push buttons.

THEN I think that the infrared sensor doesen't work properly. Do you agree?

How can I understand which of the followings is broken: "FVD display", "infraredSensor" or the "RemoteController"?

Today I tried to REinstal the older versione of iMON (vers 3.71-build 1202/Multimedian 1.71). I report that the IR sensor works properly, but the signal is not recognized: a red round symbol is shown (see attached image). :confused:

Dear Conte,

I’m sorry for the late reply.
It seems that there may be some problem on IR Receiver or Pad remote.
Please open your chassis and check if IR receiving element is bent or cut. The IR element is placed on the right of iMON HW module in front of the chassis.
And change battery with new one. Wait 2~3 minute before inserting new battery. Sometimes it makes the remote work again.

I also do not see anything in the iMontest in the iPAD section while the display worked perfectly but these steps and the removal of batteries, have helped me to solve the same problem.

Why does the Newest updates makes the app slow
