View Full Version : How not to show time on display?

Hello,

My HTPC currently displays the time on the front panel when Windows Media Center is not running. Does anyone know how to turn this off? I only want to use the display to show media information during playback. The display should be turned off/blank at all other times.

Dear GrayChaos,

Regret to say, currently there is no option like what you want. Please check “Turn On/Off FrontView” options in iMON Manager>iMON Utilities>FrontView>Common tab.

Is there any chance we can get a toggle on this feature? For example:

Setting 1: Turn Off when the following are running:
Setting 2: Turn On when the following are running:

When I close Media Center, I'd like the display to go off. At present, I have it set to go to Auto mode and just display the time/date. But ideally, it would be better to just turn it off.

Well, I'm not sure if you can set it to automatically turn on, but you can bind a button on the remote to toggle the screen on and off

That's a good idea -- with the Harmony One I can even make it the "off/on" for Media Center. I don't want the PC turning off, but when we switch away from MC it would at least turn off the display.

Though I must say I'm concerned with the lack of "official" response. I hope these products are still being supported...
