View Full Version : IMON Manager and Display Text size - ANTEC Fusion Remote

Selecting a text size in "Control Panel\All Control Panel Items\Display" higher than 100% causes your IMON settings forms to have overlapping fields, using 200% makes them unuseable ...

- I note 200% is a nice size for a HTPC.

More suprisingly it also affects the Frontview LCD Panel text size , so that even 8 point (the smallest) overfills the display at 200%

As a change of size requires a log out and back in this makes it somewhat complex.

At 150% it is almost useable..
I note that a lot of other things fail with larger text sizes, but those are other problems.

I get such problems under Windows 7 as well and it is already on Soundgraphs list to be resolved. Standby early next month for this to be addressed in the next iMon update. You can also see other things they're planning to fix at the same time in the 'to do list' thread.

I'm still waiting on that fix as well (it seems it's deferred to November now)? Any chance you could post a link that works for me as well please, as this one doesn't.

Dear Flying Kiwi,

The link is as follows.
(4) [Bug Fix] FrontView and iMON Manager UI broken when DPI is set to 125% or 150% in display setting.

This issue is already added in our “To Do List”.
Please check our “To Do List” and wait for a while.

Currently the target date for this problem is Nov. 23.
We thought it has lower priority than other issues.
But if we change the schedule for this problem, I’ll let you know it on this thread.

Johnny Hur

It appears this bug has dropped from the 'to do' list.

Please provide an update.

Thanks for the heads up johnny.hur. You are right in that the problem with 'tails' being chopped off from letters such as g and p seems to have been solved in my case but another GUI and resolution/% magnification related issue still exists. Scrolling in iMon Manager is still far from standard. The problem is that with most apps where only a little scrolling is needed to cover a full page (eg iMon Manager -> iMon Utilities -> FrontView/Automode Tab), the block inside the scroll bar fills a large chunk of the scroll bar, thereby needing only a small amount of mouse and scrollbar movement for lots of 'page' movement. The current setup in iMon Manager is the reverse of this and the mouse has to go on a marathon journey just to get an additional 10% or so of a screen to show.

I considered this to be GUI related as well and it's possibly part of the reason why I never noticed the fonts weren't being amputated anymore. I hope this is clear enough with the example shown where all of the useful page is shown but there's still a (very inefficient) scrollbar.

Dear Flying Kiwi,

Thanks for your report.
Because the height of each page in iMON Manager can be different according to the connected HW and language, iMON calculates that the scroll bar is needed and leaves some margin.
But we will internally consider that make the scroll bar more convenient.
