iMedian is good and this type of all-in-one system that IS a computer but masquerades as a entertainment unit is a revolution in home entertainment. I am free to install and setup whatever I want. It networks with the internet and my home network.

I am very happy that I can load up a list of music on my thermaltake DH101 completely by the unit's own display. I have no keyboard or mouse connected. I use WinXP because its superfast on modern hardware.

iMedian and iMon are on their way but there are still some bugs.

Here are my questions:

1. Why does the song or album list scroll automatically (every 5 seconds or so). I hate this. I don't wan't this feature at all. Can I turn it off? I looked all through the settings and nothing has appeared. Please help.

2. I really like the graphic EQ showing when songs play. But after one song, the display just shows 'Next' forever. What's the problem? The EQ was a major attraction to me making me buy the system but is pathetically missing in real use.

Please also tell me how to find the latest updates. The web seems to not show the latest patch versions and autoupdate doesn't seem to trigger very often.

Currently there is no option to turn off this auto scroll.
But we’ll internally discuss about this issue.
When we decide to implement it, we’ll add it to the To Do List.
Please check it later.

Please check if VFD mode is Auto Mode.
Launch FrontView window in iMON tray menu>iMON Utilities> FrontView and Set mode to “Auto Mode”.

I checked frontview is in Auto as you suggested and it is. The frontview is still showing 'Next' instead of the EQ. A little more details:
When I start playing a song from the list (either press Enter or Play buttons), it starts playing and the EQ takes over the screen. All seems well. Then, when the next song starts, 'Next' appears on the display but is not taken over by the EQ from then on.
--> I would be interested to know if this happens also on other machines. I am using XP.

As for the autoscroll, I hope you add a setting to turn it off in a future version. It is annoying when looking through my music list to que songs and I have 5 seconds to make up my mind! I don't know any other music device that does this so it seems strange to have this as a feature.

After having another look I noticed I had frontview on Weather, not Auto. Setting to Auto fixed the "Next" problem. It's better to have on Auto and select what can be on the display in the settings. However I wasn't expecting my choosing to have weather on Frontview would cause this problem in Imedian. Maybe this is a very minor bug?
But anyway - works well - thanks!

Dear DUKEM,

Media Information should not be displayed if FrontView mode is not “Auto Mode” and “Media Information”.
We’ll add this issue to our “To Do List” and it will be fixed in the future update.

I concurr in that the auto scrolling is a nuiscance. To me it seems to serve no purpose at all. Please remove it or implement an option to disable it.

Dear Distruct,

We think Auto Scroll feature works as some kind of screen saver.
But we’ll internally discuss about this issue as I said on previous post.
When we decide to implement it, we’ll add it to the To Do List.
Please check it later.
