Alright so, I've just recently put together my new HTPC, loving it with windows 7 but for the life of me I can;t understand why i can't rewind MP3's and MPEG movies. i figured it had to do with the compression type and something along with that because as far as i know WAV files are fine...

but here's the question....

"Why can I rewind and fastforward MP3's and MPEG movies in iMedian, and not in Windows 7 MCE?"

no offense, but Microsoft has come along way, and is more known than Soundgraph. A simple function that Soundgraph was able to utilize and as a result have soo many MCE users killing themselves over it...(myself included).

Is there a decoder that is being used that can solve this issue easily, or is it more complicated than that?

Any advice is appreciated.

Matt

Dear maafeustyle,

I think that you want to play media file faster or slower in iMEDIAN HD not jump forward or backward. Currently if you keep pressing F.F/Rewind button on the remote, it increases jump intervals and you can easily find the position you want.

And we tried to support the multiple speed playback but it was difficult to guaranty the stable playback for all supported media type. Currently this issue is halted. But if we have any progress on this later, we’ll let you know it via this thread or “To Do List (http://www.soundgraph.com/forums/showthread.php?t=45)”

Hey Johnny,

Sorry for the confusion, but I mean exactly just what I stated, Fast Forward a song, or Rewind a Song (going backwards) not playing slower. I can do that with the version I have now, only reason I don't use it, is cause I'm not really in love with the interface (graphical wise) but I'm just wondering if it's a codec or something that was designed by Soundgraph themselves.
