Hi !
I recently aquired an Antec VERIS Basic set.
I have installed everything according to the installation guide.
Power up using the remote control doesn't work, but using the normal switch works fine.
I installed iMON software, and update.
RC100 remote control doesn't do anything, no matter what I try.
However, I can see that the RC100 emits IR pulses when I press a button (using an IR cam).
So how can I find what's wrong ? Is it the remote controll, the receiver, the software ?
I am using it with a Windows XP 32bits edition
iMON Manager ver 7.85.0222
F/W version 0x4302
Thanks !

The Basic hardware has a little blue LED light that is on at all times, as long as the computer has power. It uses standby power from the computer power supply, even if the computer is turned "off".
(1) Is the blue LED actually on?
(2) If it is on, does it flicker when you press a remote button? Any button on any remote should cause a flicker, indicating that the Basic IR receiver has detected an IR signal, even if it does not recognize it.

Ok, the LED is off... so I guess I must have done something wrong, but I can't see what.
Card is correctly powered with +5V. I'll do some more tests.

After some works and checks, I finally managed to get the blue led ON.
However, still no joy with the remote control. I changed the battery, I checked with IR cam that the light flashes when I press a button, but I can't see any action on the computer side (it even does not turn it on !)
What can I do to fix this ?

Dear Thalion,
Please check IR signal with the following test program as follows.
http://download.soundgraph.com/path/Test/iMONTest.zip
1. Close iMON and run “iMONTest.exe”.
2. Press Volume Up/Down button and check if IR data is displayed whenever you press the remote button.
And please let me know FW version. You can check FW version in iMON Manager>Options>Version/Update.

Nothing gets displayed in the iMONTest window when I press any button.
F/W version 0x4302
Could it be a driver problem, maybe ?

Dear Thalion,
I’m sorry for your inconvenience.
Please check all cable connection, especially from PC case power button to iMON HW and from iMON HW to main board power pin and check if you can turn on your system with Power button on the remote.
And open Notepad and check if “Enter”, “Back” and “Menu” button on the remote work.
Regards,
Johnny Hur
