Silly Restrictions

Point 1:

There is no need to have a CAPTCHA for individual posts. Its really annoying, could we remove this?

Point 2:

Could user profiles be unlocked? I can't even set an avatar - I am told I am attempting to do something beyond my what is allowed by my current permissions.

1. CAPTCHA is to minimize spam posts by Web Bots in forum, we have lot of spam posts everyday. But we will consider and test to see how much effect it has when CAPTCHA is disabled for individual post. If CAPTCHA is not having much effect in preventing spam then we will remove CAPTCHA for individual post.

2. User profiles is not locked. I tested settings & also changing the avatar and i dont see any problem here. I also see some users changed their avatar. can you check again and give me little more details.

I am well aware of their purpose. However, a CAPTCHA is required for user registration, which is also a pre-requisite for posting. If you are suggesting that the spam bots are "evaluating" the CAPTCHA for registration they would have no trouble evaluating the CAPTCHA for posting.

I understand what it is for, and I realize it works and is useful, but if you can prevent spam bots from registering, there is no need to force CAPTCHAs for every post.

I see what you mean here, I can click User CP. I was attempting to get to my profile by clicking my name link in the upper right ( an old habit ). This is not allowed. Thanks for clarifying!
