Hi all,

Last week, I've updated my HTPC from Vista Home Premium to Windows 7 RTM X86 Ultimate.

Before this update, everything worked fine with my iMon Ultra Bay and iMon Manager, however now with Seven, nothing is working at all... :(

In fact, the iMon Manager never start at start-up... and when I try to start it up manually after the boot, I always have the same error saying something like "iMon manager stopped running"
I have the very same message if I try with the “compatibility mode”…

I tried to reinstall the version 7.40.xxxx, 7.60.0521, I even tried with the version 6.01.0122... without success...

So, does someone have a clue about what can I do or try now...??

Many thanks in advance !!

After CLEAR Win7 installation iMON is working stable(especially latest version 7.63.0831).
Update from old Windows is a random thing. Never know what will be as a result.

In my case, a "clean" or "new" installation of Windows 7 wasn't an option !

So, I'd like to test with the version 7.63.xxxx, however as only the 7.60.xxxx is available to download... and, once installed, doesn't even start... how can I try the 7.63.xxxx...?

Anyway, thanks for your advice !

Now only via update feature. Maybe later soundgraph will make standalone installer.
Try this: uninstall iMON software and clean all folders and registry threads from it, make reboot. After this - install latest iMON software. Maybe it helps.

Can you show more detailed information about this error?(control panel-administrative tools-eventlog)

[Что смысл не понятен??? Где тут видно чтоб я рекомендовал апдейт делать а? Тут написано, что .63 можно получить только по апдейту и что позже может они сделают инсталятор, а поставить последнюю версию - значит установить последнюю доступную версию]

Dear All,

First of all, please update your soundcard driver to the latest version at the manufacturer’s website.
Sometimes this start-up problem can be solved by soundcard driver update.

And we’ll fix all problems related to Windows7 before the official release of Windows 7 and release the official version of iMON / iMEDIAN HD keeping pace with the official release of Windows 7.

Dear Johny Hur,

Thanks a lot for your reply !

As I already saw in another post that you stated the problem may come from the sound driver, I also tried to replace it… without success…

Do you have a release date for the new version ?

Because for us, early adopter of Windows 7, it’s pretty annoying to have a HTPC quite useless just because of your “not working” display !!

Or perhaps do you have somewhere a Beta version for us…??

Many thanks in advance and best regards.

Dear Rolud,

We’ll release the update applying Windows 7 with the installation version on Oct.22.
Currently we’re trying to solve the problems related to Windows 7.
In order to solve your problem, the best way is to re-produce this problem in our test lab.
But if we fail to re-produce, we may need your help that runs test version and sends back a log file to us.

If it is not bothering you, please send email to johnny.hur@soundgraph.com.
I’ll really appreciate your help.

Regards,
Johnny Hur
