update stops finger ui from comming up on screen? xp 32bit sp3

hi

706 + xp pro 32bit sp3 (nvidia 295

display link vers 6.12.10.501

latest finger version 1.40.0513 - comes up as tray icon.(main monitor)

enabled 706.. but nothing on screen.(extended display-right)
rotation normal.


if i install the origional finger software cd (only), it comes up(ask for calbration etc)...

after online update.. nothing on 7" screen(ie can see desktop picture, mouse moves over it....


also (origional finger software video playback never work..

freeze system, if you try to play video on 7", works on 28" scree(main monitor).

i was hoping for a figer update fix.. but now no go.. software does not show up on 7"

(*have resinstalled + rebooted 4+ times).


p.s the video things fix.. youtube etc works.. have not triedit since i got the screen..

when you auto upate finger software.. nothing comes up on 7" screen, but it loaded and running(enabled on 706) on main lcd screen


really want a option to set button up(like virtual screen)..

be realy cool to click on a buttin in bc2 and(like keyboard)..ie blank buttion can be program to emulst keyboard press, or lunch a program(we can pick file lunch location)

can we download update (full file)?

There're 6 updates since cd installation version(1.00.1225) and many features started supporting from some versions. (You could find the version history HERE (http://www.soundgraph.com/forums/showthread.php?t=2937)) With desktop mode, you could use FingerVU as touch screen monitor. And with App+ module, you could register Windows application's icon to FingerUI and launch the applications by finger. If we sort out the problem with new update on your system, all you'd like to get will be gotten.

Is it always occur that the FingerUI GUI is running on your main screen after update? I'll let you know the link of the setup file of the previous version, please install this file and please check it works correctly or not. (LINK of the setup file of version 1.32.0416 (http://download.soundgraph.com/path/setup/FingerUI_Setup_1.32.0416.zip))

downloading update now..

ok.

1) its loaded and allways running (trayicon)from when you first turn on pc.

you can drag anything from icons to programs onto extended 2nd screen 7".

2. finger software after update(you only do this once), no longer comes up on 7" scrren(lcd enabled + finger 706 enabled)

dones not matter how many times you reboot.. or quit finger + reload it.. it nolonger load up on 7" screen.

if you downgrade finger software (not displaylink software) to cd(v1/xx) even before you reboots it works and comes up every time.(reinstall software ask for recalabration of touch part)

(1) old software works.. new version (from one time auto update) does not.

ig i click enable on 706 screen or disable it.. or left click(or double/triple click tray, nothing happens on screen.(either main or 7")

sorry, i tried everythink, all failled,..


but, i just uninstall all (displaylink/imon/finger softwware..

rebooted.

reinstalled from FingerUI_Setup_1.32.0416 (which works, then updated, which works..

so it works now, (note iv not rebooted the pc yet).

seams it needed a clean reinstall... maybe display link drivers?

I read again your post in order to know the reason it works again all things re-installed. And I found one thing questionable. You wrote your display setting of FingerVU 706 as below.

I don't know why the color depth was changed into 16 bit color, FingerUI Software does not launched when the screen is 16 bit color mode. After re-installation all, the color setting may be changed into default 32 bit color. And it may work again.

Did you change the color depth setting by the needs? Anyway, we'll check there's no problem with FingerUI running in 16 bit color mode. If there's no problem with 16 bit color mode, this limitation of color depth will be removed in order to make FingerUI launched even in 16 bit color mode.

update vis finger software breaks it..

if you uninstall. reboot_ reinstall it fixes it..

but i dont have latest version.. do yu have link?:cool:
