I successfully installed Win7 X64 and it was working fine after installing my other software. Unfortunately after installing the latest iMON/iMEDIAN software off the web page when I rebooted it would not let me even see the Windows login screen for starters, just a blank black screen. And then when I blindly typed in my login password it loaded the desktop background and nothing else. No taskbar, no desktop icons, no mouse/cursor. Nothing. And I can't do anything once I get there.

So I shut it off via the front power button as it was my only option at this point (even Ctrl, Alt, Delete didn't work) and rebooted in to safe mode. It allows me to see the login screen and to login and have access to the task bar, start menu etc and I seem to be able to access iMON but it wont' seem to let me change any settings in Safe Mode, nor does it seem to let me set up a dual display. In fact it only recognizes one display.

Please help, I'm at my wit's end!

Dear aud19,

It seems that you have a 7" or 4.3" Touch LCD in-built your HTPC case. Could you let us know the manufacturer and the model name of the case?

Normally, there should be no problem with just connecting LCD screen to D-Sub port. No login screen, no taskbar, no desktop icons... it's quite strange situations. Though installation iMON/iMEDIAN HD Software, there's no change in the Windows environment. Please check the followings;

1. In turned off state, please disconnect the VGA cable of Touch LCD from the D-Sub port. And then boot up. How does it work? Could you see the login screen, taskbar and desktop icon?

2. After done the "1" above, uninstall iMON/iMEDIAN HD Software via Control Panel/Programs. Does Windows work properly?

3. Without installing iMON/iMEDIAN HD Software, please turn off the PC and connect the VGA cable of Touch LCD to D-Sub port again and then boot up. If you meet same problem in this stage, it's one of video driver issue. You should make the Touch LCD as secondary monitor with extended mode option. And the resolution of this Touch LCD should be 800 x 600 with 60Hz refresh rate.

4. Install iMON/iMEDIAN HD Software again. Does the problem continue?

Thanks and best regards,

Dear aud19,
I'm sorry to get back here too lately.
Could you explain more in detail about the sound problem?

Thanks a lot,
