I recently bought an Wireless Entertainment Desktop 7000 after installing it everything worked fine. I could use the keyboard and the remote without any problems.

Everything is installed on Windows 7 x64 (Ultimate).

The problems occurrecd when I updated the Imon software to the latest version, after this the remote (tried the Pad and an MCE remote) stopped working. The Imon software didn't recieve any IR signal. The strange thing that I was able to start/shutdown my system using the remote. So I expect that its not an hardware failure.

I already tried to remove the Imon software and reinstall it again, still no luck.

The next thing I did was check the drivers.. and I found something strange.
I saw that there where no Soundgraph drivers installed for the USB device, only Microsoft drivers. I checked which USB device Imon is using by unplugging and plugging the Imon USB connector and check which device are added/removed in the device manager.
The next thing I tried was to update the drivers, but Win7 reported that there where no better drivers. I point the location to the Soundgraph x64 driver store..

The next thing I did was to compare the .INF file and compared it with the hardware ID's in the device manager and I couldn't find any match between the .INF hwardware ID en USB hardware ID..

My question is how do I resolve this ?

Dear Boredcat,

First of all, please open Notepad and check if the numeric buttons on the remote can type number. And try to reset remote mapping with clicking “Reset” button in iMON Manager>Settings>Remote Controller.

If the problem continues, let me know FW version. You can check FW version in iMON Manager>Options>Version/Update.

Dear Johnny,

Opened Wordpad and I am able to type numbers with the remote, but I had expect that the IR signal also would trigger the IR signal Indicator (it dind't).
I did a reset of the remote.
The FW version is :

Imon Manager : 7.85.0222
Imon F/W : 0x380208
LCD HID OEM

Tries again the Imon Pad. And this one is now working..
Will fugure out how to enable the MCE remote (Harmanoy) again.
Thank for your help/

I have the same problem, seems when I unplug the usb connected to the motherboard usb and plug it back it starts working again. But the problem comes back with I switch off the unit or reset. Seems to me that its not loading up the usb driver or something.

Dear Forum-Members,

I have the same problem, but my iMon Pad isn't even able to shut the computer down. Starting the computer works fine, but after that it seems there are no I/R signals detected by the software. I've had this problem for quite some time now and I'm desperate.

Some time ago I bought my GMC Noblesse AV case and for a Year or so the iMon Pad worked perfectly. But then it suddenly stopped working, the only thing it was able to do was switching on the computer. My first thought was, that this could only be a software issue, so I upgraded my Imon-Software to the newest available Version. That didn't change anything, so I thought, that maybe one of the Windows Updates I got during the time changed something that might have caused the driver to crash. I then reinstalled Windows XP on my PC and it was the same again.

Still not believing in a hardware fault, I then installed ubuntu, which detected the Remote correctly. But same story here: switching on works, then the I/R-Signals no longer reach the computer. From the output of irw i know that absolutely no I/R Signals semm to have reached the OS, although everything else with drivers and deamons seemed normal. (I'm not that experienced, with linux, but everywhere I looked, the hardware was correctly named, which I took as a good sign).

After that I bought a Logitech Harmony 300, reinstalled WinXP, all the updates and the newest iMon SW and the problem still persists: I can boot the computer (with both remotes) but have no control over it once the OS has loaded.

I then opened the box and checked the cables of the I/R-Receiver, they were all fine and Windows detected the device instantly. The LCD Display works fine, too by the way.

I tried the write-in-notepad-with-remote-thing and sadly that doesn't give me any output either.

I really hope you can help me, thanks in advance for your effort!
