I am new to this forum. I have just finished doing another HTPC build details as follows:

Q6600 @ 3.2ghz water cooled, Gigabyte x48T Mobo, 250GTS, 4GB of ram @ 1333 (timings 7,7,7, & 19) 160GB hard drive for operating system and 2 x 750GB storage, Thermaltake 850Watt PSU, Xi-fi fatality sound card all in a Silverstone case.

I am using WIN 7 64 Bit OS and have fully updated Imon HD. I have just finished adding and scanning the relevant files from my two storage drives and everything is showing up as it should. However when I go to the play the Video's a message comes back "Failed to open file. File not Found." I am not sure if this is a bug or just user error but I suspect the former rather than the latter as I have used Imon HD on a vista build and 2 xp builds.

Any help would be great.

Apologies for being so long winded.

Regards
Steve

Dear Steve,

We have been testing iMON/iMEDIAN HD with Windows 7 32/64 Beta/RC/RTM in our test lab.
It doesn’t happen in our test lab yet.

In order to solve this problem, we need more information.
Please let us know the following issues.
1. What kind of video file format did you try to play?
2. Did it happen for all video files?
3. In which menu did you try to play, Videos, External Media?
4. If you play video file using Media Explorer, does it happen?
(Select “Media Explorer” in Setting>Media Library>Internal Library>Library View>Videos, you can navigate drives/folders and play files in Videos menu.)

Sorry Johnny for the delay in my response. I have reverted back to Vista and everything works without issue. In respeonse to your inquiries I answer as follows:

1. I tried playing mkv., vob., mpeg. and avi. files all without success. My other media centre which uses your software but is using a Vista operating system works flawlessly with the same local and external media.

2. Yes on the Win 7 media system the files are there but unplayable.

3. I have tried a variety of menus. Firstly I associated the Video tab so that it would scan all subfolders into which the media is saved but that did not work and I tried your suggestion of individually locating and playing the file through the media explorer function.

The files in question otherwise play on the win 7 media centre when I use windows media player. But media player is way to inconvenient to use when compared to your software.

So I have basically given up on the win 7 operating system. I am back to Vista and everything works fine.

Dear Steve,

We’ll release the update applying Windows 7 with the installation version on Oct.22.
Currently we’re trying to solve the problems related to Windows 7.

In order to solve this problem, the best way is to re-produce this problem in our test lab.
But if we fail to re-produce, we may need your help that runs test version and sends back a log file to us.

If it is not bothering you, please send email to johnny.hur@soundgraph.com.
I’ll really appreciate your help.

Regards,
Johnny Hur
