I have recently installed a HTPC using a Antec micro Fusion 350 which comes with a LCD display and a RM100 (mini) remote. I am using Windows7 and the latest Imon version 7.63.0831.
Anyway, I have a problem with the range of the remote. It seems to be about 2.5 metres which means I have to continually lean in and stretch forward to get it to work.
Because I am usually in a reclined position with a beer in one hand and a pink donut in the other, this is causing a firming up of my tummy muscles with all this excessive excercise (and I have a certain reputation to maintain).
The HTPC box is NOT behind any glass panel or any panel. What range do others get ?
Anyway, it looks like the IMON software supports "MCE" remotes as well. I think I might purchase one of those instead. Do all MCE remotes support the same codes ? Or is there a particular model/brand I should get ?
Any suggestions welcome...
