Hi
Christophe, France.
I have had some problems when I tried to configure IMedian HD. When I define the Music folder, the system starts scanning this folder. At 97%, the program crashes without any message. The result is that some music folders are here, but not all folders (The 3% I think) and all folders are empty. So I can browse the structure of my folder but can't launch any music ... (every folder contains 0 file)
I use the latest version of iMedian.
I don't know how to do. Is there a way to know which directory or file can cause this crash ? Is that a known problem ?
Thanks by advance.

No blue screen in my case. The program just stops without any message. Windows keeps working as if nothing.

Dear Christophie,
If you’re not using the latest version (7.63.0831), please try again after update.
I think iMEDIAN HD crashes while saving Media Library.
Please reset Media Library in Settings>Media Library>Internal Library>Reset and rescan again.

I'm also having crashes whan scanning for music. Always at 25%. I'm using version 7.63.0831. Scanning for movies works OK eveytime. Is it possible it's a problematic .mp3 file?

Dear Mangoat,
I’m sorry for your inconvenience.
I think iMEDIAN HD always crashes while extracting tag information from the specified file.
And this file may have non-standard tag information.
Please try to find this file with removing current folders and adding sub-folders one-by-one in Settings>Media Library>Internal Library>Scan Option>Music Scan Folder.
When the specified folder is added, it will crash.
If you find this file and folder, please rescan again without including this file and folder.
And if it is not bothering you, please send this file to johnny.hur@soundgraph.com
We’ll fix this problem after checking this file.
Regards,
Johnny Hur

Dear Perceval973,
I’m sorry for your inconvenience.
If it is not bothering you, please send e-mail to johnny.hur@soundgraph.com.
Then I’ll send the test version that applied some bug fix and makes a log file.
With this file, you could find files that iMEDIAN HD fails to scan.

Upgraded to 7.77.1022 and I'm getting the same crash again while scanning music. This time it's happening at 97% (like it has with others). I tracked down the folder that was causing the crash and it turned out to be one that was scanning OK with the previous version of iMedian. Is there any chance I could get the debug version to generate a log for you guys to look over.
Thanks

iMedian seems to have aproblem reading some tag information in .mp3 files. I've fixed the scanning problem by removing all but the artist/album/track tags from the troublesome files. iMedian is now scanning all my music (all 75,000+ tracks). Hope this helps other people with this problem. Mangoat

I can't sent any files at the moment as I've converted/retagged all affected files. The next time it happens I'll send you a sample file.
Cheers
