I have decided to build a HTPC using a micro Fusion 350 case which comes with a LCD display and a RM100 remote. My problem is that I cannot get the remote to work no matter what I do.
Initially I installed it under windows 7, but reading some of the posts here it looked like there might be some issues with that and so I installed it in another machine running Vista 32. I get the same problem... The LCD works beautifully but the remote detector does not work at all.
I have got a Scope in which I checked that the infra-red detector was receiving the codes from the remote control. It was and i could see the codes being received on the IR detector.. When I plug in the USB then in device manager I get a HID device added under keyboards, so that sounds ok too. (And when I unplug it the Imon circle changes from blue to yellow).
It does this in both Vista32 and Win7 32. any ideas what I can check next to confirm if I have a faulty device or not? It's as if the remote codes are simply not being recognised. I configured IMOn for "Imon mini" and i have a RM100 (is that right?). And I installed the latest version 7.63.0831 of Imon.

There is an unused 5-pin connect behind the location of the IR detector. Does that connect to anything ?

I've been going at this for days but have just solved my problem.
Whatever i did, I must have done the same thing both times.. (on Vista and Win7). Everything seemed to install just ok with no errors.....
But what I tried has just solved the problem..
I ran "Program Files\SoundGraph\Imon\system\driver\InsDrv.Exe" and that has resolved my problems. (well for Vista haven't tried the Win7 PC yet...)
