Hello,

i have bought the case Moncaso 832 with an Imon LCD Display. But when i am some steps away from the case its nearly impossible to read the display. The contrast is too low and the backlight to strong. The Contrast Slider ddidn`t help so is there any other way to tune this Display or to change it?

Dear Customer,

When we supply the ODM/OEM module to our ODM/OEM customers, we supply it without the front cover. This means that our customers use their own cover as like half mirror etc. We have retail products using same LCD but its contrast and brightness is okay.

I think that it would be better you change the cover as like little bit dark window.

Thanks...

johnny.hur,

I too have a Moncaso 832 and I am not happy with the display. The filters for sale in the Soundgraph shop (http://shop.soundgraph.com/ItemDetail.aspx?PDSEQ=22) that you mention were made available to fix the backlight problem with the negative blue LCD displays.

However, the Moncaso 832P has a difficult to read positive blue LCD:

I have considered purchasing a new OEM LCD panel from the Soundgraph store (http://shop.soundgraph.com/ItemDetail.aspx?PDSEQ=8) which I assume is the negative blue display. However I noticed that the PCB does not have the connections available for the volume or navigation controls.

Back of the PCB for sale in the Soundgraph store (no connectors on the PCB):

The back of the PCB in the Moncaso 832, the wires for volume and navigation are circled in red:

Here are my questions:

Question #1: Do the filters in the Soundgraph store make the positive blue LCD displays readable? If you don't know, please find out since this is the simplest fix.

Question #2: If a replacement display from the Soundgraph store is installed and the volume and navigation connectors are transferred to the new PCB, will they be functional?

Thank you in advance for your help.
