Hi In the latest version of IMON the keyboard fails after about 3 - 5 key presses so is totally unusable.
I went back to 1.60 and it works much better but does still fail after a while and requires a reboot.
I am using the Microsoft Windows Media Center Keyboard Version 1
The remote control on the keyboard still works and mouse when the keyboard fails.
Anyone else getting this issue ?
So the mute problem was finally resolved in latest build but then I loose my keyboard :(

Dear Customer,
Could you check your F/W version on the menu of iMON manager>Option>Version/Update and let me know it? We have two version of F/Ws which supports the MCE keyboard. In order to check the S/W version performance difference, we need to know it.
Thanks a lot...

Thanks for your response !
The firmware is 0x380208 and this has actually started playing up now too !
It must be a driver issue because the remote and the mouse part of the keyboard work perfect and I have spare keyboard of same model and that is the same !
Much appreciate your reponse and advice !

Dear evolution400,
FW 0x380208 is using HID Keyboard driver for processing MCE Keyboard signal.
I think this problem is no connection with SW update but FW issue.
Please refer to a diagram in the following FAQ about using HID driver.
http://htpcinside.com/forums/faq.php?faq=sg_sw_imon_manager#faq_faq_imon_manage r_remote
Please let us know the following issues.
1. How far from iMON OEM LCD do you use MCE Keyboard normally?
2. When using Keyboard, is it facing iMON OEM LCD directly?
3. If you use Keyboard within 1 meter from iMON OEM LCD and with facing directly, does the problem still happen?

Hi Johnny thanks for your response.
1) usually about 2 meteres away.
2) yes
3) Yes it will randomly just hold down a key or come up with ASCII characters then stop working till I log off then back on. During this time the mouse and remote work perfectly.
If I go closer it doesn't improve.
So must be a keyboard driver issue or FW ?

Dear evolution400,
Rarely this kind of problem can be occurred when iMON HW doesn’t receive normal IR signals.
Please try to change battery with new one.
And open PC chassis and check if IR receiving element is bent or cut.
The IR element is placed on the right of LCD module in front of the chassis.
And check if keyboard works when you aim at IR receiving element directly.
