Hello. This is my first post and i already have a question :D

I have IMON INSIDE 3.5" (http://soundgraph.com/inside-installation-en/) but older type with IMON PAD not imon mini remote.

As i dont have PC anymore,i bought a laptop, my imon inside is resting and doing NOTHING :D. I wanted to mod it to make it work only through USB. I dont need power on/off.
I think i saw on this forum few years ago some pictures and explanation how to modd imon inside to work only through USB but cannot find it anymore.
I tried to add +5V and GND directly to ST_PWR connector from USB ,and laptop recognizes it,i installed,latest software abnd drivers and all went ok but cannot control nothing. It doesnt work. When i press any button, led on 3.5" bay is flashing but nothing happens. I suppose the THIRD (PURPLE) pin on the ST_PWR connector is also needed somewhere but my question is WHERE?? ALSO DIRECTLY TO USB +5V? Anyone know some info about this modification?

Thank you very much

Well this is how I modded it to work from a single USB only:

1. Wired the +5V from the USB to the TWO +5V pins (one is +5V and the other is +5VSB - Stand By). You have to wire both or the receiver is not going to work;
2. wired ground to ground as expected;
3. Yep, its all that :)

You can see that I built a small cable and wired the pins as I wrote in the first lines of this post.

Here are the soldering details:

You must solder BOTH +5V to this +5V point in the original USB cable. You can use any of the ground points here, but I used the on in the middle. To solder, just tie both +5V cables together and solder it in this pin. If you dont have any skill in soldering, you can cut a USB cable and tie the wires directly in the plug in the first image. Just double check everything for shorts before connecting it to the USB
