This is a very strange problem. i've limited the problem down to after i do some gaming, the "enter" and "back" key on the Imon remote no longer works. it just no longer responds. This makes life very annoying, as i have to log out and log back into Win7 in order for it to work again. quitting Imon manager and starting it up (without logging out) does NOT work. This makes watching TV very inconvenient. As we use the HTPC for all enertainment including watching TV, music and gaming. if the Enter key and Back button don't work, this renders pretty much everything useless.

Please fix this.... it's getting extremely annoying. as my wife is yelling at me and screaming at the TV at the same time.

using the latest stable imon software V7.85. Win7 X64 Ultimate, Core i7 860, EVGA P55 655-KR motherboard, ATI HD5850, running direct HDMI sound output to the receiver from the HD5850.

i don't believe this problem existed in the previous versions.

Dear howzz1854,

I’m sorry for your inconvenience and my late reply.

In order to solve this problem, I need more information. Please let me know the followings.
1. Which game does make it happen? If you don’t play any game, doesn’t it happen?
2. What kind of remote are you using? (iMON Pad or MCE remote)
3. When it happens, do the numeric buttons work?
4. FW version. You can check FW version in iMON Manager>Options>Version/Update.

Regards,
Johnny Hur

1. as far as i know, i tried all of them and they all make the "back" "enter" and "number keys" useless. Crysis Warhead, Just cause 2, Assasin's Creed 2, Mass Effect 2... more. and if i don't play any games, no it doesn't happen, i can do everything else even put the comp to S3 standby and wake it back up and nothing will make it happen until i play and exit a game.

2. Imon Pad.

3. No, when it happens, the number buttons don't work.

4. FW version 0X360101

i tried switching back to 7.77 imon driver and it still is the same.

funny thing is, i don't remember this ever happening before i upgraded my cpu, motherboard, and memory and reinstalled windows. i just upgraded from a Q6600, Gigabyte EP45 UD3P motherboard, with 4 gigs of Gskill DDR2 1000 ram to a brand new i7 860, EVGA P55 655-KR motherboard, and Gskill DDR3 1600 4gigs.

could it be another motherboard issue like someone mentioned with certain Gigabyte board? (my previous Gigabyte EP45 UD3P didn't have this problem, although i hated that motherboard for other reasons which drive me to upgrade eventually). If so, are there solutions?

thanks for replying.

Dear howzz1854,

First of all, please check the following FAQ.
http://www.soundgraph.com/forums/faq.php?faq=sg_faq_sw_imon_manager_g_01#faq_sg_faq _software_products_gamecontrol

If the problem continues, try to connect iMON to other USB port including the externals. And update main board BIOS and USB related river.

i used the imon disabler in your FAQ. it fixed the problem..... well... more like a duct tape fix because i am basically disabling imon before the game, and re-enabling it afterwords, it's really not a fix. My games used to work without a problem. now i have to use the imon disabler every time i play a game. it's an extra layer of overhead, really annoying.

i hope you guys find the problem.

I have this problem too, with current 7.9 version....after playing rFactor......I think it also happens after using some other software, but have confirmed these yet.

PLEASE FIX - I don't want to have to do another work around while waiting for you to get this device stable....still waiting for Mediaportal support.
