View Full Version : Names of recorded/playback tv causes backlight to go off

Using Win 7 RC (build 7100 x86) with iMon 7.63.0831 and firmware 0x380208, sometimes shows as 0x3802 (that intermittent firmware version change in itself is a bug) when I have my dual tuner TV card (Compro Technology Vista E900F) recording 2 channels at the same time via Media Cente (latest drivers but no Compro Technology TV Viewing software installed), FrontView wont display any of the programs if I decide to watch one of the programs from the start while it (and the other program) are still recording in Media Centre. Instead it just seems to power off altogether (the backlight goes out but iMon stays running in the systemtray) and the only way to switch it on again is to close and re-open iMon. How can I help you to track down whats going on? Is there any more info you need to reproduce the fault?

Dear Flying Kiwi,

I think Windows or Media Center is sending some kind of Power Management message to iMON before FrontView turns off.
We also need to check this problem with the same condition in our test lab.
If there is the same problem, we will add it to our “To Do List”.
Otherwise, in order to solve this problem, we may request your help for testing if you think it is OK.

I've done some more testing to try and reproduce this problem and cant. I've updated my motherboards BIOS since reporting the problem so maybe that was it. Maybe it was just a temporary glitch but it has since seemed to rectify itself - call off the lab testers please :o
