I puchased this tv card
Hauppauge WinTV-HVR-2250 Dual TV Tuner / Encoder 1229 PCI-Express x1 Interface - OEM $114.99 (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16815116037). I also purchased the Wintv7 install cd $9.99. ordered this package as i didnt need the remote hardware
Hopefully all goes well when it gets here.
next purchase:
The Black Ice GT Stealth 120.1 $42.95 (http://www.frozencpu.com/products/5323/ex-rad-106/Black_Ice_GT_Stealth_120_Radiator_-_Blue.html?tl=g30c95s159)
The XSPC 5.25" Bay Reservoir Pump $62.99 (http://www.frozencpu.com/products/6473/ex-res-130/XSPC_Bay_Reservoir_Pump_Combo.html?tl=g30c107s152)

well the Hauppauge WinTV-HVR-2250 worked flawlessly :)
converted my first VHS to hard drive sound matched the picture YA!
had no issues at all everything worked like it was ment too.
and yuppers the remote from the htpc worked aswell.
I was a little disapointed that composite/s-video doesnt work with WMC
or that (so far) tv tunner dosent seem to work with imon grrr :(
"One program to run them all" lol I wish
WMC to watch netflix
Wintv to get vhs conversion
iMON for everything else (imon has some great features best really)
just wish one program could do it all.
anywho just an update :)
UPDATE:
Got imeadian HD to work with the 2250 woohooo
imeadian doesnt currently suport any "tv cards" although i did get tvwonder usb 650 to work with it. due to driver issues (ati blows) i pulled it
imedian HD uses the WinTV.Exe which also alows limited remote use. channel up, down, rec, pause, and play.
which is more than adequate.
now to get them to add NETFLIX like WMC, Xbox360, and Wii does
1. next step add the internal water cooling parts
2. Take some pics

Just wanted to self contain the HTPC for now, just looks better than in previous pictures.
this is my first video so take it easy on me LOL, it was hard to hold the camera, remote and flashlight and try to explaine what i was doing.
