Antec Fusion + iMON Pad Remote Control = Better than Mini?

The range on the Mini Remote is 100% unusable for an HTPC. I literally have to be within 2 feet for it to work. I have also exchanged the battery, and still there's a problm.

Does anyone know if the iMON Pad Remote could possibly work better? That would be pretty damn awesome, since I could use the HTPC Win7 remote on another PC I have.

Is an engineer or anyone able to verify whether the iMON Pad Remote Control > iMON Mini Remote in regards to having significantly better range?

I'm definitely not asking anyone to troubleshoot anything, and I know it's a known issue with the iMON Mini + the integrated VFD with the Antec fusion case (the issue being needing to be withing <2ft for the remote to work).

I would just dump the $$$ on the remote if it works, but I just need to verify that it would have a very good chance.

Pretty please can someone help?
