I decided to start a new thread since we were getting no answers on the other thread about this issue.
I own a Silverstone LC16 that I bought about 2 years ago.
Just to start my system is all Gigabyte components, single core intel processor and using a Mushkin 550W power supply to give the thing life.
I am running XP Media Center and all patches for all hardware and software are up to date.
Right now I am running about 6.5TB but this problem has been going on since the system was a newborn with only 1TB.
So, what happens is after a certain amount of time, minutes or even days, the VFD will artifact and the blue circle for the iMon turns yellow and shows hardware dissconnected.
This causes all controls using the built in IR to become unresponsive.
The only way to get the system back to normal is fully power the system down, wait, and then power back up.
I know this has been a longtime problem with this model, not so much in this forum but I have seen it in others, and was wondering if there ever was a fix?
I do remember seeing a post at one time talking about installing a capacitor accross the black and purple wire on the iMon harness to stablize the 5v, again this was a while back and I dont remember the full details. Hence I am writing this thread.
SG, any advice?
