Antec Micro Fusion not turning on by remote.

I'm using an Antec Micro Fusion mATX case with an Gigabyte GA-H55M-UD2H mATX mobo and an core i3 cpu.

I already updated the imon software to the latest version and the remote functions perfectly fine in Windows 7.

Turning off the htpc works fine but I just can't get it to turn on by remote.

I tried turning on booting by keyboard press/mouse button thinking the remote might be recognised as an mouse or keyboard.
And of course I did connect the power sw cable to the correct pins on the lcd.

Oke, more fiddleing about I just came to the conclusion that the remote does work when I have an keyboard connected and have the option boot from keyboard press on.

Now I would greatly prefer not having an keyboard or mouse at all on my htpc, any idea what this might be?

Bios update fixed it.
