Dear Soundgraph-Team,

to exclude any possible hardware error, I would like to know if you're familiar with the following problem:

Hardware:
Antec VERIS Fusion Remote (v2)
with LCD 15c2:0038
Mainboard: GA-MA78GM-S2H
OS: Mythbuntu 9.10

For a couple of days I've been trying to get the LCD working - without any real success. At least my remote seems to be ok. I've tried almost every tutorial to setup the panel but I get stuck where it should show actually something. Config seems ok, I installed all the needed modules (lirc, lcdproc) and set it up properly. Bottom line is:

- Clock (built-in font) is displayed after shutdown
- after startup I don't get any system messages, infos, etc. displayed. Instead, the clock characters get "messed up" and partly unreadable (see this (http://mitglied.lycos.de/kreychek/DSC01061.JPG) picture)
- shutting down LCDd clears the display (as expected)
- restarting and debugging LCDd gives me no error messages, see:
nico@nico-tv:~$ sudo LCDd -f -r 4
LCDd version 0.5.2 starting
Built on Mar 5 2010, protocol version 0.3, API version 0.5
Using Configuration File: /usr/local/etc/LCDd.conf
Set report level to 4, output to stderr
LCDd 0.5.2, LCDproc Protocol 0.3
Part of the LCDproc suite

- starting mythfrontend shows some reaction in the debug-results above ("output states changed").
But there still are no messages or "readable" characters showing
- browsing through mythfrontend leads sometimes to a randomly "brighten-up" of the LCD for at least 1-2 seconds.
- after the driver (imonlcd) has been unloaded after shutdown, the system clocks goes back to "normal" without any signs of misbehaving characters. :>

My Question: Are these signs of a hardware failure? Or is there any possible way to figure out what I configured wrong within the various configs? Again, I followed the latest tuts to this device+distribution more than once.

Thanks for your help.

Regards
Nico
