Hi

I seem to have to opposite problem to most of these posts.
My remote works beautifully BUT will not power the computer off/on. When I push the power button the iMON manager says "power management CMD" the manager is blue. I'm not sure of the significance of this. I cannot find much documentation on the remote. I am almost there with my media machine build but this is a real annoyance. Hope you can help.

KarenI seem to recall reading somewhere that this is quite common when attempting to shutdown a PC which has Windows Media Centre running at the time. Have you tested it out on a 'barebones' installation with nothing else running apart from iMon? If your remote came with an Antec Case (as in my case with the Fusion Remote Max), then the Antec manual covers the remote functionality. What documentation have you found so far?

Hi

Thanks for replying. The antec manual only covers case installation. I have been on the website to download the manuals but they won't download even though I have Adobe on my machine. I can get it in any language but English. The barebones idea would be great except that it has taken me ages to set this machine up. I will try a dual install to try it out that way.

Hi

Thanks for replying. The antec manual only covers case installation.Mine (for the Fusion Remote Max) includes a brief section at the end for the RM200 (although there big gaps for areas missed out such as which PWR SW lead to use for what). If you want the remote to work in terms of power up and down, you need to connect the 'other' pwr sw (power switch lead) to the motherboard (but then your case power switch won't work).
I will try a dual install to try it out that way.Never a good idea if you want to reduce the number of problems with a setup but I think you'll find swapping the power lead will give you what you desire (at least if it's a Fusion Remote Max case you have). Oh and the manual is avail at the US (not Europe) Antec website in English (at least when I last checked).

Hi

Many thanks for your help. the power switch idea is certainly worth trying.:)

Adendum: It didn't work. The case wouldn't switch on as you said but the power button didn't work either so it's back to the drawing board.

Hi

Just to let you guys know that I have sort of come up with a solution thanks to Kiwi and others who have posted on the forum. I went into iMon Manager/settings/windows command/power management and reassigned the power command to hibernate in the XP media centre setting. It obviously didn't like the case command. It won't come back on without using the button but this is progress.:D

It won't come back on without using the button but this is progress.:DI'm not sure what you were expecting would bring it back on? If the correct Power switch lead is connected to the motherboard you should be able to completely power off and on the PC (S5 not just hibernation). You could try uninstalling iMon and reinstalling with the default settings while the motherboard is connected to the LCD Module power sw lead (rather than the case power switch lead). It should work in this configuration but Antec tech support should be able to help if it doesn't.

[Edit] As well as contacting Antec for clarification, I found this page at another forum http://www.hardforum.com/showthread.php?t=1378902 which seems to offer a logical way of going about connecting it up so both the case power switch AND Remote power switch work. I've not tried it myself as I'm waiting on my replacement LCD moudule and will have a look when changing that in the next few days (along with rewiring the HDD Activity LED so I can get this to work correctly). Why Antec didn't just wire it this way internally and have just the one Power Switch lead coming from the front of the case for the motherboard connection, I'll never know.

Dear landrover127 and Flying Kiwi,

I also don't know why Antec case gives two pwr pin header options. But as illustrated in the hardforum URL, the pwr s/w pin header from case power button should connect to iMON LCD OEM board and the pwr s/w pin header from iMON LCD OEM should connect to the pin connector on motherboard, in order to support the power on feature with both power button on case and power button on remote.

Thanks and best regards,
