Hi, I'm currently using iMon VFD and very interested in FingerVU 706 as a replacement. Will it have all the functionality of iMon VFD? In particular I'm looking for the following:

1. Will I be able to view/control Windows 7 Media Center screen? For example browse music albums and play it via Media Center, without having to turn on my TV...

2. Does it support UPnP devices such as TwonkyMedia?

3. Can I use FingerVU to switch on/off HTPC?

Thanks!

Dear Waterydan,

Thanks for your interesting of our products...please check the below comments.

1. We can support your requests on MCE in both ways...First one is you can run MCE to our FingerVU monitor directly and use remote control or finger touch. Currently, our FingerVU touch works only with our FingerUI but we will update this touch control to control every applications. Another good news is that FingerVU can cooperate with your existing iMON VFD, this means that you can select the IR receiver between iMON VFD and FingerVU.

2. Currently, we do not support the uPnP devices. But if TwonkyMedia is an application running on Windows O/S, it can be controlled.

3. You can use your iMON VFD for Turn on...FingerVU only can support Power on. You can choose the IR control option to be controlled by iMON VFD or controlled by FingerVU.

Thanks...

Thanks for the reply. I'm still not very clear whether I can control MediaCenter. As you mentioned the existing version only works with FingerUI, but not with native Windows Media Center. Is it correct?

Thanks...

Dear waterydan,

Current version of FingerVU only works with FingerUI but we will update our FingerUI and it makes it possible you can run Media Center on FingerUI. And next of next version will support that you can run Media Center on TV and FingerVU together (this is not a Hardware clone or mirror, by application).

Thanks and regards...
