Hello, i have been having problems playing certain games on my PC ever since i installed the LCD/remote into my PC. The problem starts each time i run the game:
-i hear the sounds of usb plugging in/out every 10 seconds even though at that time i do not plug in or out any usb's
-the game is extremely choppy and virtually unplayable (which is the actual problem)

Please note the following:
I am running windows 7 ultimate (32-bit) and my computer is very powerful and able to run the most recent games on highest settings, so the choppiness doesn't come from underpowered pc, in fact the games became choppy after i installed the lcd/remote into my computer.
This problem only occurs with games i need to use a usb controller (pro evolution soccer 2010, mirrors edge, etc), while games that use keyboard/mouse combo (modern warfare 2, crysis, etC) work perfectly fine.

I tried every common troubleshotting method, such as reinstalling the software, making sure its up to date, reinstalling the games, reinstalling the drivers for the controllers, but it didnt help.
If anybody has any ideas, that would be greatly appreaciated :)
Thanks in advance,
Petar

Have you tried connecting the lcd to a different onboard USB controller and also to all external USB connectors?

I never thought of trying that out. I will do it now and let you know if it helps :)

tried connecting to different onboard usb's, even disconnecting the usb cables alltogether to let the lcd sit by itself, but didnt work. also tried connecting to the back of the pc. still no improvement

Are you guys working with Microsoft on a solution for this? Running a separate executable before launching another program is not an acceptable solution.

Still broken.

I spoke too soon. The problem is still occurring. In fact, it eventually breaks iMon and you have to reboot the computer to get it to recognize IR signals again. What is being done about this problem?

Dear prismra,

I’m sorry for my late reply.

Did you try with EnableDisableiMON?
If you have a problem with EnableDisableiMON, please let me know the followings.
1. What kind of OS are you using?
2. FW version. You can check FW version in iMON Manager>Options>Version/Update.
3. Try to connect iMON to other USB ports including te external ports.

Johnny Hur

Yeah this is my issue as well. iMon starts enabling and disabling, like unpluging and plugging in a usb device, from windows start up. It will continue for like 15-20 min. before windows says that it doesn't recognize this device and is disabling it. The sound stops at least then, I will be trying out this dissable.exe after a restart here. But this is occuring for me at start up, I am wondering if I can permanetely dissable iMon and it will stay that way even after shutting down and starting back up. Overall I am rather dissapointed that this is happening like this. A device sutch as this has so much potential, and I'm disabling it. FTW!!!

yeah the enable/disable imon executable was working sort of crummy so far and there was always bugs in it but at least it got the job done until i installed the most recent version of imon manager 7.85.0222...now no matter what i do, when i run it it will say 'disabling imon device' and the little circle will awlays be yellow. i restarted the application, the computer, etc but nothign works

Ever since i downloaded the latest update, the imon circle is constantly been yellow, there is absolutely nothing on the lcd display, and no matter how many times i click the enable/disable imon device, it says 'disabling imon device' but doesnt do anything about it. I am thinking of deleting the whole thing alltogether and installing the original driver i got with the cd :S.... please help, if anybody has the same problem
thanks in advance

I want to know when the enableImon will not be required. I don't want to have to deal with that. It should just work. This is the only piece of hardware I have ever used that requires me to enable or disable it because it breaks core functionality with the OS. Are you guys working with Microsoft on a solution for this issue?

Dear All,

In some versions of iMON hardware this problem occurs when Windows DirectInput Device Enumeration API function is called, iMON device is disconnected and connected again. Because this API call requests the “device description string” of iMON hardware even it talks to Windows that it does not support the description string.

Currently the solution we found is the modification of FW. But this product doesn’t support FW update. But we keep trying to find SW solution for this problem.

ScaryJerry// First of all, please try to connect iMON to other USB port including the externals. I think one of your startup programs may call this API function. If possible, please check if it works with closing startup programs one by one.

Johnny Hur

These tips and details are not helpful at all. I cannot believe that soundgraph does not have a fix for thos yet, it should be very embarrassing for them. My retailer canada computersspent a week troubleshooting this bug using every means possible, they tried using xp and it worked fine. You guys need to come out with a windows 7 fix. Canada computers will no longer carry your products until you fix bug, I have checked with other retailers and they say the same. Please fix
