Right...

Imedian software is so horrifically bad. Have the people who make it not noticed that every topic in the user forum is related to constant relentless problems with Imedian? I have had nothing but problems with it. I am forced to use it on my silverstone GD02 mt media center. I bought this particular case as I wanted a dedicated music system where I could backup all my music in lossless format for what i thought would be the perfect listening experience.
Here are a list of SOME of my problems with Imedian:

1.the programme does not recognise tags properly. As a classical musician I listen to alot of classical music...for example the well tempered clavier by j.S Bach..I have used tag editors to meticulously edit each track..including the order I wish them to be played. I have used many different formats such as 1,2,3,4 or 01,02,03,04 or 001,002,003,004...you get the idea...anyway for some unknown reason the order of the tracks is scrambled..so i might be listening to the c major prelude one minute, hoping to hear the fugue that comes straight after..instead I am launched to the D minor prelude. Or perhaps I might listen to a Beethoven symphony...I might hear the last movement at the beginning and the middle movement at the end..Things like this become VERY frustrating...especially as there is no logical reason as to why this is happeneing..and yes, I have gone into the settings and experimented with different ways of displaying the tags...it still doesnt fix this problem. The tags all appear fine when using windows media center or any other third party media center.

2. This is particularly annoying:
Perhaps I am browsing through my albums..I might listen to a bit of Rachmaninov and then decide to change to listen to a bit of radiohead...When moving back through the menus, either with the remote of the incredibly poor quality touchscreen (don't get me started on that one), it takes me back to all albums under "A"...this is annoying as both Rachmaninov and Radiohead come under "R" in the alphabet...I then have to scroll down through my entire music collection from A through to R just to find my desired album. If i had have known it would be this user unfriendly i would have stuck with CD's!:mad::eek:
3. The drivers for the touchscreen seem very poor. I am locked into using Imedian as the touchscreen hardly recognises where my finger actually makes contact.I have callibrated it of course...the problem comes from when you actually let og of the touch screen in mouse mode..the cursor might randomly jump over to the other side of the screen. So i am forced to use imedian with its big buttons and no gesture support.
These are a few of my main problems...I have spent so much money on a system I dont use as its easier to use spotify or just my main pc as my hifi..perhaps if you could listen to what your customers actually want you could be SSOOOO successful..until you do, you will always be a second rate company that fails it's customers.

I am not expecting a reply to this post but I would be very grateful if you could take t ime to reply

First of all, please try to update to the latest version. The latest version is 7.62.0721.
And in your post, iMEDIAN HD and FrontView Player can be confused.
iMEDIAN HD can be run by Desktop Icon or Quick Launch button. And FrontView Player can be run by selecting menu of FrontView with touch.
I’m replying with thinking you’re saying about iMEDIAN HD.

When “Library View” option for music is “Folders (Multiple Depths)”, iMEDIAN HD used the alphabetical order till the version 7.40 and from the version 7.60 it has used the track order in the ID3tag. But after updating to the latest version you need to rescan music library. And try other “Library View” option in Settings>Media Library>Internal Library>Library View>Music>Tag.

For other 2 issues, please try again including calibration after updating to the latest version.

Thanks for replying.

I have the latest version you mentioned in the email...my problems have been the same with all versions of Imedian HD...i have tried on many different operating systems...vista,xp windows 7...all have the same problem. I have gone through the ID3 tags so carefully...all are correct and all work with other media software and display the info in the correct order..only imedian hd has a problem with them...
tried re callibrating....still no difference..the mouse goes all over the place in mouse mode using the touchscreen. I have rescanned many times...tried folders multiple depths and then g one back to tags...all my music is organised by tags so i use artists-album in tag mode..many of the albums display tracks in random order , not even alphabetical. Please help

I am still also having problems with the points below:
2. This is particularly annoying:

I am still waiting for a reply to my previous post. I have lost faith in Imedian HD and I know have a completely useless music sytsem that has cost me a great deal of money! I have even looked into using third party software, perhaps using the touchscreen as a mouse with gesture support...but the cursor jumps from side to side when used in mouse mode. i would be grateful if someone else with the silverstone GD02-MT could try scrolling slowly on their desktop with their finger and let me know what the cursor does. Thanks

Dear customer...

We will update the iMEDIAN HD will support the navigation back to the original selection. If you go into the album of Sting, then you can go back to Sting on the menu. We will put this to the To Do List. For you, I would like to let you know the tip which will be useful for your navigation. That is you can use CH + and - button on the remote control for page scrolling. The difference between up/down and CH+/CH- is as like up/down and PgUp/PgDn on the keyboard. I believe that your scrolling speed could be very fast if you use CH+/CH- button on the remote control.

Also you can use the playlist feature of iMEDIAN HD if you would like to listen to the music in order. You can add music to your playlist and save the playlist as well. In order to do this you can long click the right button of the remote control and select Playlist on the menu list. You may need to use virtual keyboard to save the playlist name.

For the Touch control issue, our result at our test lab is not same as like you. But we will try to find another calibration method if it can provide a better positioning.

Hope my reply could be help for you. Thanks...
