Hello all,

i have a problem with the language in imon software and on the display.

I've tried to use the MiniDisplay Plugin from MediaPortal. After activating the PlugIn, the display seems to switch off the blacklight. Ok, it doesn't work - recognized.

Uninstall and reinstall the iMon-Software doesn't resolve the problem, display is still black. Then i used the Windows system restore to get back to a point, where it works fine.

The display works, but since this "operation" i have always the letters (ENG) on the Display AND in the Software. I need it in German (an without any letters in front of the text!). Also every new installation of the software (newest Version also as an older Version) doesn't help.

How can i resolve this problem? :(

Thanks

System: Windows 7 64bit

Dear DeepBlue550,

Which kind of iMON display are you using? If you are using iMON VFD, it supports only English (until now but it'll support Russian soon.) If you are using iMON LCD (UltraBay), it supports multiple language. "(ENG)" prefix shows there's non translated strings for your language.

Thansk a lot,
slash.kim

Hello slash.kim,

i have an iMon VFD (case is Intertech 2008V) and I do not need russian language support ;) ...

After the first install there was not the (ENG) prefix, not on the display and not in the software!
First time it runs perfectly in GERMAN (not russian ;) ) !!!
There must be an error anywhere in the registry or a system file, since i tried to use the Minidisplay Plugin from Mediaportal, because a complete reinstall of iMon Software doesn't resolve the problem.

On the display i see messages like "(ENG)CPU Speed 3115Mhz, (ENG)CPU Usage .... etc..." .. that couldn't be right, that this (ENG) ist always a prefix.

The language (german oder english) isn't the real problem, but I don't want to see always this (ENG) prefix on display !!! And once again... it has worked after FIRST INSTALL !!!!

kind regards

Dear DeepBlue550,

We are sorry to make you wait so long time to get support. It's lunar new year holiday in Korea last week and there's lack of support.
Yesterday, iMON/iMEDIAN HD version 7.85.0222 was released. In this version, iMON starts to support the Unicode and you could select Language in runtime. Please check the setting in iMON Manager > Options > Language. We checked there's no prefix (ENG) in this version with Deutsch language setting.

Thanks a lot,
slash.kim

Dear slash.kim,

thank you for information, but it still doesn't work. But now the Prefix doesn't appear, when i select english language. German (Deutsch) shows still the prefix and it's also all in english (software and display).

Maybe the imon software could not find the language files?

kind regards

Dear DeepBlue550,

The language files are stored in the folder "C:\Program Files\SOUNDGRAPH\iMON\system\lang". There maybe something problem with German language data file.

Could you please zip and upload the iMON_GER.dat file in the folder here, in order to check the file was damaged or not on our side?
And please download the original one here and overwrite it there. Before do that, please 'Exit' iMON Manager.

Thanks a lot,
slash.kim

Hello Slash.kim,

sorry, but that doesn't take any effect.

When I select english as language, it work's correct. If I select any other language, i have english menu text with the (ENG) prefix.

I don't know, why it have worked after first install (maybe I should try the original files from the cd of the hardware vendor), but it only works correct with the english language selected.

But that is ok for me.

*EDIT*

Sorry, my posting is not correct. It works with any language, but not with german (tested with french, italian, magyar). There is nowhere the (ENG) prefix, only if i select the german language pack!

Another Question! Is it possible, to display custom text (from a textfile?) on the Display?

kind regards
DeepBlue

Hi Slash.kim,

I think, I have found the trouble in my system!

After copying the new language file, that I have downloaded from your source, it doesn't works. Than I have searched for all imon_ger.dat on my harddisk.

I've found some files, but one file was with zero bytes length. It was stored in
"C:\Users\Michael\AppData\Local\VirtualStore\Progra m Files (x86)\SOUNDGRAPH\iMON\system\lang"

Since i have changed this file, it works also fine in German!

Thank you for support, now I am only waiting for supporting "MediaMonkey" ;-)

kind regards...

It's very good to hear good news from you. And thank for giving us detail information about the problem and solution. We need to check why the files are stored at that place and used from there.

For media information of MediaMonkey, it is already added to our To Do list.

Another Question! Is it possible, to display custom text (from a textfile?) on the Display?
Currently there's no way to show custom text on display. As shown in To Do List, display API is needed to do that.

Thanks a lot,
slash.kim
