I'm using imon with microsoft's remote control and i've set the power button to sleep.

My HTPC, after windows 7 installation, appears to have some issues. Sometimes it resumes from sleep with no reason, and sometimes when i change channels or volume on my Philips TV with the philips remote...

However, the most annoying thing is that when this happens the VFD will be showing the time and nothing more and the remote will be dead.. Whatever i press on the remote nothing happens and the VFD will be showing only the time forever.

The only way to fix this is to turn of the pc, unplug the power chord, plug it back and turn it on.

Thanks in advance:)

The firmware is 0x98
I bought it at christmas 2007 from greece.

Actually i just found the cause of the problem. It only happens when i set imon to use MCE remote. Then for some reason when i turn the volume up or down on the TV's remote (philips) the pc turns on.

And it doesn't matter if it was on sleep or just turned off. The same problem..
Also this might not a windows 7 related issue at all... when i was on vista i was using the imon remote..

so, somehow the mce remote frequencies are similar to philips:confused:

Thanks again for your time.:)

Also this problem applies to me too:(
iMON freeze when using TV Remote (http://htpcinside.com/forums/showthread.php?t=267)

If i set imon to work with mce remote and then i change the volume on tv remote, imon becomes yellow.. and vfd freezes..
the fix with disabling/enabling the driver also work for me too.

Using imon pad instead the problem seems to dissapear.

do i have to return the product for replacement?

Dear kapcom1,

Please contact with the shop you bought our product and request the replacement.
But I don’t know exactly it is still under warranty.

We have a plan to launch our new website and online shop at the end of September.
At this online shop, we will sell our retail products, ODM/OEM products and some accessories and we can ship to the overseas.
You may find the same iMON HW model at this shop.
