I have a .IMO file to get my iMon remote working with XBMC. It comes with a VERY basic set of commands and most of them dont even work. How can I edit the .IMO file so that every time Windows crashes, I dont have to re-enter every keyboard/remote command.
Ive tried notepad, and such but that didnt work.
thanks :)

Anyone have any ideas on this? After spending $500 on a CASE with a soundgraph product on the front I would think the support would be a little better.

Dear mccorkled,
We are sorry to reply too lately. Developers answer to the technical questions on iMON/iMEDIAN User Forum and there's not so much time to answer, because of preparing new product. Please deeply understand it.
In FAQ page, you could find 'How to Backup and Restore iMON Settings? ('LINK (http://www.soundgraph.com/forums/faq.php?faq=sg_sw_imon_manager#faq_sg_faq_sw_imon_ manager_br))
Once you edit imo file for XBMC, you could backup the file and restore it again.
Anyway, could you let us know which kind of problem with original xbmc.imo file? Or if you could upload the xbmc.imo file you modified at .imo file thread (LINK (http://www.soundgraph.com/forums/showthread.php?t=610)), we'll apply it to future release.
Thanks a lot,

thanks. I tried that before and it didnt work properly. I fixed it and I added it to the link you provided.
I still however would like to find a .imo editor or add more functions to the iMon software. It would be very convenient if the "Functions" could be organized. If I ever want to add a new function then it goes to the bottom of the list. Sometimes organization is key.
thanks for the help anyhow!

I didn't find this posting before but I have exactly the same question. How to edit an existig .imo file using a software edit tool?
If there is no tool available, please reply in what kind of language an .imo file written.

Dear MarcB,
The .imo is a plain binary file which stores each function information (name, shortcut, RC button name and RC signal). There's no special tool for editing it. Instead, you could import the preset .imo file and adjust it in iMON Manager. Please refer the following instruction;
1. Open iMON Manager > Settings > Program Command page.
2. Add dummy program with [Add program] button. For example, Notepad.exe can be added as dummy. (No need to register it to the Launcher.)
3. Import the preset .imo file which you'd like to modify.
4. Click the item you'd like to modify in the list and then click [Modify] button to modify existing one.
5. Click [Add] button to add new item.
6. If you finish modifying it, click [OK] to close iMON Manager Window.
7. 'Exit' iMON Manager via the menu by mouse right button click in the system tray icon.
8. Open the Windows Explore and locate to the following folder;
For Vista, Win7: C:\Users\[Logon Username]\AppData\Roaming\SOUNDGRAPH\iMON\Setup\[iMON Remote Name]
For XP: C:\Documents and Settings\[Logon Username]\Application Data\SOUNDGRAPH\iMON\Setup\[iMON Remote Name]
9. There're many .imo files in the folder. If you edit the .imo file with Notepad.exe, the Notepad.imo will be shown in the folder. This .imo file is modified one.
10. This modified .imo file can be imported again in iMON Manager's import function.
Thanks a lot,

I use MPC as an external player in XBMC. When I use the "pause" button on the imon pad, MPC leaves fullscreen mode and XBMC moves forward on the screen so that the video is playing in the background. In the imon manager/Program control screen, I've tried to adjust the key command to multimedia "Pause" and also the "Space" bar (which is the XBMC key comand for pause). I get the same result either way using imon pad remote.
Both these options work fine when using the keyboard directly.
Any suggestions?
