Webcast Imedian HD hangs

Hello,

im using Version 7.78.1125 of IMON Software on two different PC´s an i have the same problem on both.
When i try to add Webcasts, IMedian HD hangs on connecting to some (not all) of the stations.
Windows says IMedian HD is not responding. I have to close IMedian HD and restart it again.

I have the same problem. Doesn't hang on but can't play it. Can't add m3u.
media-Player, Winamp do it

Hi All.
We have the same problem with a couple of stations that do not work and iMedian HD Hangs:

In either way hangs. and this :

If you can add a fix in the next update we would be grateful

Links are working in Winamp without any problems!!!!

I am very new to the webcast experience, so probablly most of the users here can help me.

So far none of my self added stations have worked on IMEDIAN HD.

Only webTV stations starting with mms:// have worked so far.
None of the stations starting with http:// worked.

Am I doing something wrong?

Also, how do I find the right adress when the radio is starting in its own player. NRJ radio is doing that for example.

Dear Horex,

In the beta version at Feb. 2, there's some bug-fix with Webcasting (stop playback after 15 minute) added. However, we need more time to fix the failure with the URLs posted here by users, because almost all radio station here are m3u or pls. Currently, iMEDIAN HD does not support this type of streaming correctly. Anyway, we'll add it to To Do List.

Hi everybody!
With the new beta update Webcasting works fine and flawless all of us here! Thank you soundgraph crew!
All stations are playing flawless and no hang-ups or interruption!

And a small tip: If the url is m3u, or pls, write the link without this extension!

Example:
Original Link: http://78.129.143.157:8000/arisfm.m3u

if you enter in iMon http://78.129.143.157:8000/arisfm problem solved and station starts playback :D

and it works like you told.:)

If i try it with my link i.e.:
http://stream.novalnet.de:8000/charivari.m3u ->> http://stream.novalnet.de:8000/charivari
Imedian hangs.:confused:

Is it possible for you that you can test one of my links on your system to enshure it is on the link and not on my system?

Hallo Dear Horex,

I've tested your link and works perfect (of course without the extension .m3u. By the way it's a very cool station and since I've studied in Germany it brought to me sweet memories, So I already stored it to my HTPC! ;-)

Be careful not to mistype the address (copy paste should work just fine)

thank you for testing my link, it's nice that it works for you and you like it.
I tried the link again, but it was the same as before, Imedian hangs.
So i wonder that it works for you? :confused:
Maybe you have installed some additional mediaplayer on your HTPC?
I have tested the links on two Pc's, but on both i have the same result.
First one is my HTPC with only Win7 32Bit and Imon installed.
Second one is a standard Pc with Vista 32Bit and VLC Player installed.

There's something bugs with stream version of m3u parsing. We found the bug and this will be fixed in next release.

As babalas said, the URL http://stream.novalnet.de:8000/charivari is working without hang. You could check the URL is right after download http://stream.novalnet.de:8000/charivari.m3u and open it with Notepad.exe. Inside the m3u file, the URL (http://stream.novalnet.de:8000/charivari) is written in the file. Currently, parsing with this kind of ,m3u file in iMEDIAN HD has a problem and we will fix it. However, if you could not play with the URL http://stream.novalnet.de:8000/charivari, there's something other problem occur on your side. Please check this URL can be played in WinAmp > Play > URL.. menu.

thank you for your advises. Now all the stations with extension .m3u and .asx are working.
What i have done now is, to download the corresponding files, open it with Notepad and copy the URL's into Imon Manager.
At last only one of my stations isn't working in ImedianHD:

But it works if i open it in Firefox.

Dear Horex,

Did you check the URL http://cms.streamfarm.net/cms/_vr100/radio/radio_alpenwelle?referer=www.alpenwelle.de/ in WinAmp. WinAmp fail to play the url and say there's error with server sync. The radio station looks have a problem.

I am also having the "m3u" difficulties ;)

Stream http://www.jemnemelodie.sk/jemnemelodie-high-mp3.m3u does work in VLC, MS Media Player, and Firefox, but not in iMedian HD.

VLC does not need the m3u extension, MS does.

I am using version 7.89.0622
