report spam here?

is there a way to report spam? I literally just joined and the first two threads I see are spam, one trying to sell me a house (I think) and the other was pr0n. seriously? :eek:

Currently only moderators can report spam post. Thanks for your concern.
we try to remove spam from forum as quick as possible.

Currently only moderators can report spam post.I've not had a need to report any spam (yet?) as I've seen none in this forum but does the little icon in the top right of each post that has a red triangle around an explanation mark not function in this capacity? Sure us mere mortals can't delete spam as that is rightly a moderator function but I would have thought we'd be able to quickly draw your attention to it by reporting it (saving you having to trawl through each and every forum looking for spam). Sorry if I'm seeing something thats only been introduced since this thread was started but in other forums I belong to, thats how we report spam and it works VERY effectively at getting rid of any.

I am with SoundGraph since 2007. My responsibility in this forum is see all the threads get reply and keep the forums out of spam posts.

Flying Kiwi you are right about the red triangle that is how spam is reported. Currently this feature is enabled only for the moderators.

As Mark hardware said there are lot of spams in the forum, though, as you said you havent had need until now as it is removed immediately from the forum.

Currently this feature is enabled only for the moderators.lI'm not sure I understand you - are you saying that only moderators can successfully use that icon to report spam (presumably to you) - if so, what's the point? Surely all moderators can delete spam and inappropriate posts? Other forums that I post in (that also use the vBulletin software) have this icon configured so any logged in forum member can quickly send a message to the moderator group - the idea being that we can help you by drawing your attention to spam in the forum (but can't delete or alter posts, don't worry). This means things should be easier for you with all the visiting forum members effectively acting as spare eyes. I trust that you will configure this feature to work as above otherwise there's no point in having those little icons at all. Maybe you're already in the process of doing this?
