Hi,

I have been using Imon for the last 3 years on a Silverstone LC16 (Asus A8N - SLI Premium motherboard with Athlon2 64 CPU) without any issue at all. I have been so far very satisfied with your product.
However, I have installed a new hard drive recently with Windows 7 64bit to decommission my former main drive. At the same time, I have replaced the bay device on the enclosure, retiring a Silverstone FP32 and replacing it with a FP34. Since I have made these changes, I have experienced continuous issues with Imon. Please note that the issue started when I replaced the bay device (which took place a couple of days before I upgraded to Windows 7).
I was running the Imon 7_42_0911 previously but I have recently update to the latest release 7_78_1125 (firmware 0xffffffff) and unfortunately it hasn't changed the issue.

Basically, Imon works fine when I start the computer (i.e. VFD and remote) but after a while (which varies from minutes to hours) the VFD freezes while the remote and the front buttons stop working.
When I hover over the icon in the notification area, it says "iMon H/W is disconnected"

To make it work again I need to restart the computer each time.

This is a highly frustrating situation and I would appreciate if you could provide me guidance as how I could fix this issue. Let me know if you need further information.

Thank you

Hi Soundgraph,

Are you able to help? I'm still encountering the same issue and I haven't heard back from you despite posting my issue almost one month ago.

Thank you

I have a similar problem but the behaviour is slightly different. After the PC is on everything work fine. After a while (usually I check after over night) the VFD show gebreish and the remote stop responding. This happened to me on VISTA and also on a clean install of Windows 7 on the same machine. The Imon was working fine with the Harmony One untill I changed my remote to Harmony 890 and later to 900 using RF.

After checking further I discovered that the Imon manager send a keyboard stroke of the number 2 repeatidly. When I close the Imon manager the retyping of the number "2" stop.

I already changed the internal USB port and did not help.

In order to clear the problem I need to totaly shut down the power to the PC (plug-out the AC)

Any Idea?

I have the exact same problem here. The VFD eventually freezes, with the iMon software reporting that "H/W is disconnected". I'm using a Harmony One remote, but the problem happens even when I use the standard remote. I'm considering downgrading to some older drivers (which seemed to work before this latest version).

There does need to be a fix, though, because it's very annoying to have to completely power down the PC every time this happens. :(

It would be nice to get a reply from SG on this problem.
I have owned a LC-16 now for several years and have put up with this problem.
I do remember seeing something about installing a 5V Capacitor but can no longer find this posting.
If I could find a good replacement VFD to replace this I would consider it since SG doesnt seem to have a fix.
